Who has the responsibility for water and electricity? Hint: Not Israel. Hamas neglected their water infrastructure, dug up pipes to make missiles. The EU provided 150M aid in water pipes to upgrade the infrastructure? Where are those water pipes?

@@halofreak1990 Israel provided Gaza with less then 10% of its water - for free - and had no obligation to do that under any agreement. Gaza neglected its water infrastructure for years. They dug up water pipes to build missiles - so much so that the EU provided Euros 150M in water pipes aid in 2021 to help rebuild their water infrastrucuture. Where are those pipes now? Where's the proof that Israel bombed the water plants?

I do agree with Mouin on these two points that 1. any leadership of the Palestinians should be "organically" generated by the people themselves and not to be imposed from the U.S. or Europe, the hegemonic West which is guilty of the mess it has caused in the Middle East and that 2. the way out of this crisis is to have ALL of the Palestinian political forces represented under a large umbrella movement. Unlike Max (whose point of view is based mainly on personal experiences), Mouin takes the long view of what is good for the Palestinian people.

@@Marius_vanderLubbe No idea; I would suggest anyone that can actually achieve the goals of the Palestinian people without violence and the militant groups within Palestine would have to agree to allow the neutral power to work peacefully or be deported. They would need a military and funds to contribute to protecting Palestinian interests with the aim of creating a permanent solution that doesn't just kick the can down the road.

Without the efforts of Hamas you nor the rest of the majority would not even be aware of the Palestinian oppression.

Why is it a problem if they choose Hamas if you’re saying they can choose whomever they want. It’s not for us to decide. We should support the Palestinian people in whatever decision they make because they know better what’s best for them.
