Jesus Christ this is a messy take. On one hand I understand the sentiment of “We’re struggling to get TV time as it is”, that’s something AEW has struggled with for a while. But to say “Prove that you’re better than me” is just plain unnecessary. To say “I could fill that role” when talking about guys like Osprey, Okada, and Edge, as well as saying “We’re the hottest thing in wrestling period.” just tells me that dude’s got a big head. The acclaimed were certainly over as hell at a certain point but to say they were ever “The hottest thing in wrestling period.” is a GROSS over exaggeration. And if dude thinks he’s as good as Osprey or Okada… I don’t even know how to go about saying how wrong that is. It’s also kinda ridiculous to complain about guys who were made elsewhere while also being so heavily associated with someone like Billy Gunn.

The idea that Okada and Ospreay have to prove themselves to Max to earn their roster spot is fucking ridiculous. It's this type of attitude that makes it very easy to believe the stories of AEW cultivating a toxic work environment. Well done Max, you used your interview time to alienate a bunch of fans and make the company that made you, the one that already has massive public image problems, look significantly worse. AEW already reeks of unprofessionalism and illegitimatecy and Max took this opportunity to really hammer both those points home.

How did Edge prove himself in Aew? Ratings have tanked, attendance is at all time lows, and he's literally just playing with his friends the entire time. He legit said that's the real reason he even signed with Aew. Ha.

This is a terrible take by Max Caster. Sheldon Benjamin and The Motor City Machine Guns are fantastic; and AEW would be lucky to have them. For Max Caster to say that a legend like Sheldon Benjamin has to prove himself when The Gold Standard has accomplished a lot more than Max has, is absolutely outrageous. Max is getting a little too big for his britches. He needs to stop being delusional and come back down to Earth. Max needs to understand that the company doesn't revolve around him and Anthony Bowen.

So on one hand I honestly see where he is coming from when he says he doesn't want people that became stars on other shows because it takes away from what they have. But on the other hand "Shelton Benjamin, is just okay" granted age is starting to show on him but Benjamin was one of the greatest wrestlers in wwe at a time and he was actually a wrestler he got his start in amateur wrestling, he trained Brock Lenser, he was one of the greatest Intercontinental champions of all time. And it add on the that in my opinion Shelton should have been Kurt Angel last match.

Tony Khan has ruined the company with all these signings. None of whom have improved the ratings. He had a great squad of what were mostly "homegrown" talent. And now they're mostly just buried under all the the former WWE or New Japan guys. The Acclaimed were so over and now just, gone cold. Same with Darby, Sammy, Wardlow, Hobbs, There's probably more I'm leaving out. All of these guys were over, and just bad booking and signing too many former wwe guys have ruined what was once a company I enjoyed watching. Shelton Benjamin can do technical wrestling and acrobatic moves on a very high level, which makes him unique. On top of that he is a great athlete. The only thing that hold him back in his wrestling career is his charisma. His promos are mediocre at best.
