Over The Spectrum For sure! And that’s so true, depending on who you ‘find’ first it shapes your theories (at least in the beginner stage) that’s why it’s important to have people putting out quality content!
jeff is the greatest trainers of all I consider him my own personal trainer I leaned so much from him that my progress have been outstanding a big thumb up for him and keep up the good work
this man is why I use the athleanx training program, these vids make my life so much easier in figuring out how to do exercises and then the program to know what I should be doing that day.
Very helpful as usual. When you do a complicated video, like this one, it would be helpful for you to sum up at the end and demonstrate the exercise. For example, five main points: middle distance, elbows in tight, grip reverse makes that easier, straight bar makes that harder,, how to hit long head with ropes.
As simple as the longer rope/straps may seem, it's pretty smart! I've also tried this exercise with the regular rope but with only one hand, using the full rope length on one side, to actually get the arm behind the body (like the tricep kickback type of movement). That does work, but it takes twice as long obviously. The biomechanical explanations about elbow, wrist and shoulder are also genius to include here! Awesome channel as always
Love this jeff! Anatomy ftw!!!! Thank u bro, lookin forward to more of this series 💯💪🏻 I would like to see some anatomical workout tricks for hittin those lower Lats , mine attach high so always tricky for me with widening my Lats and growing my lower Lats 💪🏻 thank u sir
Jeff, is it possible to bend your wrists back when you do a straight bar pushdown, like you suggest in the bicep master tip video, in order to prevent the wrist flexors from kicking in? Also, news flash to everyone, before you ask "Jeff can you make a video about...." make sure you use this thing called the search function, and make sure he doesn't already have a video about said topic.
You seem tired, bro. Take a rest day. You've earned it. That being said: another outstanding video. There's a reason why you have 5.4mil of us handing on your every word.
Thank you always for the amazing content. Please do a video on increasing grip strength. I can lift heavy duing deadlifts but my grip gives away. I hate using wrist straps
Can you do a video on post workout stretches? After every biceps workout I'm having what I think it's tennis elbow aggregation. Thanks for the consideration.
John Sheppard not inherently bad but I’ve had tennis elbow when I included that sort of movement in my routine. Especially with a wider grip. I either use an EZ curl bar or do one handed/unilateral movements now and I don’t have problems anymore
Not really relevant to this video, but I had a question I wanted to ask Jeff. I was watching a video of a guy doing preacher curls with a very heavy load, and he got off a decent number of controlled reps. One of the comments left under the video said... "It's a very impressive weight to curl no-matter-how, but some peeps above did mention the form: and IMO the extreme extension of the arms at the very bottom is a concern. That puts a lot of strain on the lower biceps tendon, and once that snaps it's a bitch to fix, and you may never get full use back." Is there merit to this? I typically like to feel a good extension to get the bicep stretch, but this has me second guessing. I'm assuming its very safe to fully extend a load that you can do about 8-10 times? Should it be avoided when going heavier? Thanks Jeff and team, Steven Herrera AKA Trainer Steve
Can you please explain why the mixed grip in deadlifts can tear the distal tendon biceps??? P.s: i tore mine 4 years ago and decided not to have surgery.
Ostrix it's the flicker rate of the lights. Lights in fridges like that and many other things flicker veeery fast. The human eye cannot see it, but if you record it with a camera using a high frame rate, it will show up like what we are seeing here. Take a video in slo-mo of an alarm clock and you will see what I mean
oskar tang one hundred percent fault. Nutrition and strength go hand in fucking hand. You can't have this body and his strength without the right exact eating.
Stuck Scapula! This is a concept few people are talking about. I've been suffering with this for as long as I can remember and it is hindering my training. It is basically the exact opposite of a winged scapula. PLEASE LIKE SO JEFF CAN SEE!
I do powerlifting your stronger , bigger Cross fit is all cardio pretty much I say that each person reacts differently to each type. me personally powerlifting is better I just think that cross fit works better to get women shredded
Of course...unless people need a rope theres no way you can use 2 ropes in any Gym...some places are busy as fuck..my solution: bring your own ropes so they can see you mean business 😂
Just be sure to have some kind of identifier (piece of tape with your initials on the bottom or whatever) so some nosey asshole doesnt think you are jacking equipment.
Hey Jeff! Can we get a video about posterior shinsplints! Mostly what causes them and how to fix them! I tend to always have pain shortly after Jump rope, High knees, or any movement that involves Explosive leg movements. I’m currently running your MAX SHRED program ( that will give you an idea of the movements that hurt the most ) hope to see a video about this soon
Jeff does a really good job of giving deep insights on each movement. But, damn, those are some big guns Jeff has built there, moreover at a low body fat percentage. Respect.
@@shamalpowell5265 he's teaching you why you should follow it. Anyone can make a 10 second video showing a workout. Jeff shows it and explains it in great depth.
There are a lot of material about hitting the long head of the triceps, and yes, the long head is the largest component and adds to overall arm diameter (if that's what you're after)... There's very little material on isolating (or being preferential, rather) on the short head, and this is probably the part of the tricep that is most anesthetic in nature... What can be done to focus on this shorter head?
I was in a Slayer moshpit and got hit right on it on my left triceps, probably by a pointed elbow. It's been twice the volume since ha ha. Maybe that's the key? As for exercise, anything that doesn't focus on he longhead and work the triceps will target it. Add some squeeze at the end of each reps too.
Is it advantageous to do hot/cold therapy after a work out? Would I use it on my joints or muscles? Are there any aftercare videos available? Thank you!!
My names leo not kevin heart,I was just wondering what I can do to get bigger legs I’m 14 And I’m a bit worried if I go to heavy something will happen with my knees and I don’t want to risk going to heavy even to know I know I can Thanks for another great video 👋🏼
Kevin Heart Don’t try and rush while you’re young. Keep doing light/body weight exercises at high reps until your body is developed enough, probably when you’re in your upper teens. I’m no Cavaliere, but take it slow to make it grow.
I've been going to gym for close to 2 years now and this is my experience of how to do legs. Have perfect form because there have been people who go to heavy and they have ended up snapping their knees. Follow the advice the other guy put too, take it slow take your time and do weights you're comfortable with however they must put tension on the muscles. Calf press, leg press and even walking up stairs are great exercises for your legs. Squats too. Just make sure you do it right. If you're doing leg press for your quadriceps NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER extend your legs all the way and lock your knees especially on heavy weights because that is how you snap your knees. Yes extend your legs outwards but never lock. Keep your knees bent slightly.
I had the knowledge that doing pushdowns with an underhand grip was better for targeting the medial head, neutral grip for lateral head and pronated grip for long head. I don't remember where I got that from or what was the science behind it. This video seems to disprove that, and now I'm quite confused. Could someone more knowledgeable please shed some light on that?
