Pibby would have been fucking excellent. I admit I had my concerns about the concept (like how the darkness is basically 2017 era meme culture) but after seeing the leaked pilot, I found out just how much wasted potential there was.
If Max is still going to remove Cartoon Network shows, at least put all of them on dvd so that people can own them without pirating them and Warner Brothers can still make money off them
More reasons physical media will continue to be here to stay. Hulu definitely has a plethora of Cartoon Network related content, and I'm happy that it still has them on their platform. Oh what to give to get Infinity Train, Close Enough, and Final Space back on the air? Let's hope [adult swim] can save what's left of Cartoon Network.
Physical Media will die one day, and it will go away. Not even the most dedicated basement dweller who lives in his mom’s basement won’t save DVDs from going extinct.
This is why I honestly don’t have my max subscription anymore because what’s the point of paying for their streaming content if they’re just gonna sell the rights of Cartoon Network shows to other platforms. Hulu and Netflix has own all of contents both live action and animation especially from Nickelodeon, Fox and CN, so even though they managed to bring back ones like fosters, adventure time, regular show for spin-offs it still doesn’t change the fact that David zaslav only cares about money while canceling or removing new contents that don’t appeal to him in wbd and max.
Let’s not forget, David also ruined discovery. The channel used to be entirely focused around documentaries and nature, but he filled it to the brim with reality TV slop.
(Answering the video’s title) Well to be fair there IS other content on Max, such as all the DC shows. Which is what I mostly watch on Max. There’s also [adult swim] content on there and that’s pretty popular too. And plus, the remaining CN shows on there are still good. Point is there is still merit to owning a Max sub. I know them removing shows isn’t a good look for them at all. But can we at least **try** to focus on the brighter side of things and please stop being so damn negative all the time? It’s getting pretty sickening at this point
Honestly, AS is my only reason to be subbed to Max now. But even that content isn't safe either, even their shows get removed every once in a while. The most recent example of a show getting purged is Metalocalypse, which was removed back in June. Very surprising, considering how much of a cult following the show has.
This seems odd considering that being able to watch Cartoon Network shows was a main selling pointing for Max. HBO has not really had a hit since GOT and all the classics like Sopranos or the Wire are available on DVD.
This is why the whole Discovery merger should’ve never happened two years ago. They need to make physical media important again cause the media industry is a state of dispair right now. I would pay for complete series DVD’s of Grim Adventuees of Billy and Mandy,Chowder,Cow and Chicken,Johnny Bravo,Camp Lazlo,Ben 10(2005),Infinity Train,Summer Camp Island,Tig n’ Seek,Close Enough,Victor and Valentino, etc.
I totally agree with you, @DC Network. I subscribed to HBO/Max mainly for the cartoons, so now that all but a small handful of them are still there, it's annoying. I get that Z-Man is trying to get his company out of debt by farming content out to other services, but if you're not going to make your service the hub for all of your company's content, then why have it in the first place? Zas is trying to eat his cake and have it too; my feeling is if you don't want to put the CN shows and exclusives on Max, then just kill it and put all your stuff on Amazon Prime Video or Hulu or wherever.
This is one of the reasons why I don’t like streaming and I just have cable… because with streaming they can take off-put on shows and movies when they want…
@@gerawallstar3487 Streaming services aren't going anywhere. The studios will find a way to make them profitable. No one is flocking back to cable because they're tired of paying those over inflated prices.
If you got a VPN you can access Max in South America with its og English dub! It still has its CN classics. South America treats its CN content with care compared to the US
This is why my family and I no longer have Max. Back when it was HBO Max, it was a great service for us especially for my brother and I for watching a lot of animated and DC content. But then things changed, once the prices started to go up and then once WB merged with Discovery, becoming Max, and then canceling and removing our favorite shows and movies from the platform, making us no longer having the service. Especially since half of their content is either on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or hell even Tubi
You can still watch other shows like House of Dragons, Smiling Friends, South Park, Aqua Teen Hunger Forces, Metalopclaypse, Robot Chicken, Harley Quinn, My Adventures with Superman, Rick and Morty, Batman the Animated Series, Superman the Animated Series, Justice League and Unlimited, Batman Beyond, Young Justice, Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go, Boondocks, Game of Thrones and many others that isn’t Cartoon Network.
First of all I may agree with you on this, but Cartoon Network is dead at this point right now there putting older Cartoon Network shows on a box set, there trying to bring DVD’s back to life.
Should we blame Zaslav? But now, I still have a plan to convince Max to bring back Ben 10 Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, and Omniverse and bring in Sym-Bionic Titan, Generator Rex, and The Secret Saturdays to the streaming service
@@Urvy1A I know that some of you guys are gonna disagree when I say this, but I think Ben 10 Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, and Omniverse should return Max, and they should also add Sym-Bionic Titan, Generator Rex, and The Secret Saturdays to the service as well
At the very least, Summer Camp Island made a comeback on both CN AND Discovery Family (albeit through reruns.) Still wish the series would come out on DVD though
This is why streaming is poop. Just stick with physical media and cable. They are way better. This is why that streaming is going into a downfall and they can kiss their butts goodbye.
I think it's shitty that these services are removing shows yeah, but cable is definitely not better than streaming in my opinion (in most people's opinions). Cable right now literally just airs the same things over and over again. Also RU-vid shouldn't be for children at all Imo.
3:40 Yeah. Disney understands that better than anyone. Think about it; if you take a beloved Disney or Pixar classic like The Lion King or Toy Story off the platform, you may as well erase the entire filmography. Say what you will about Disney+ but at least they treat most of their franchises and IPs like kings as opposed to Warner Bros. where they think animation is just another tax write-off.
This is why I don’t support streaming services anymore and only prefer physical media, but now, there is a rumor that all DVDs and physical media are going to be discontinued in the early 2030s and replaced with streaming services, and does that have to go for Blu Rays too?
I don't even remember when I was last subscribed to a streaming service, more than a year for certain, nowadays I will buy DVDs and Blu-Rays but if something I want ins't on physical, then it's off to the seas for me.
1:30 Phew. Thank goodness that Steven Universe (and Future), TAWOG, Powerpuff Girls (Classic), We Baby Bears, TT (Classic and GO!), TGAOBAM, and Total Dramarama are unafected (For now). 😄😄
It's actually even worse if you count all the Hanna-Barbera content since their largely on Tubi now. So you have to basically play for 4 streaming service. Netflix and Hulu for Cartoon Network, Amazon for Warner Bros., and Tubi for Hanna-Barbera. Outside of Tubi, that's three separate bills right there.
A Scooby-Doo live action series is on the way, but it won't be on Max. It will be on Netflix. Zaslev has been licensing DC and Scooby-Doo content to Tubi as well. Scooby-Doo: Where Are You and What's New Scooby-Doo are both on Tubi, while also still being on Max. Gotham is on Tubi, while also being on Tubi. Justice League and Justice League: Unlimited are on both Max and Netflix. Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated is on both Max and Netflix
Exactly I wished every Cartoon Network original, Warner bros animation, Hanna barbera, ruby spears, and all the other library Warner bros owns was on the streaming service in the first place without removing them and also Warner bros should’ve merged with mgm as that would’ve been a good merger that respects animation
@@MyNameIsJohnathanMinecraft Yes it did. And we still hate it today. The network should’ve just promoted other shows on its channel, but they didn’t and now things are falling apart for them.
@@MyNameIsJohnathanMinecraft One show can't kill a network, I don't understand why people keep saying that an 11-year-old cartoon killed CN when it was a brainless president that made the show eat up the entire schedule.
And Paramount Too So Much Comedy Central and Nickelodeon content removed If I could go back In Time 2 Decades ago and experience a better decade at least George W. Bush was Mr. Rogers compared to Donald Trump
I don't know why HBO Max keeps removing all shows excluding Teen Titans Go. This is proof that Warner Bros still cares about that show more than it's predecessor. Don't get me wrong, TTG was great during it's first season, but after season 2, that's when the hater-base started to take it's form.
I'm glad I don't watch stuff on HBO Max because of the evil Velma show being on there. Which continues hypnotizing people to watch by hate watching! I'm safe with the BOOMERANG app and Hulu.
At least all CN shows are safe on Hulu and other streaming services but Max just literally dying right now because of the incoming inflation prices and purging the contents for money (ever since back in 2022) which sounds ridiculous, I still hope David gets fired or got sued again for that.
I dont think alot of people realize that it does cost wb money to put these shows and movies on their streaming service. They own the IP yes, but they still have to pay for the server and its hosting. they can parade around with all their great content all they want but if no is watching and keeping up with their subscription most would just license the streaming rights off for a few years for a quick dollar. I think the only real winner of the streaming wars was amazon because their goal was to attract people to the amazon prime service and the original content was just a bonus. Max is slowly dying just like disney plus and peacock, these studio ran streaming services were never gonna really work in the grand scheme of things because nothing was going to keep there content honest. liked your video tho.
@@remixchildat least with physical media, you don’t have to worry about losing access to it unlike streaming. Some DVDs gets out of print sure but a majority either don’t or get re-released. Plus they’re still not gone forever lol
Exactly @@DavidBarnard720. I Hate David Zaslav because he keeps removing animated shows from HBO Max, and cancels movies and uses them as tax write offs, and I think he hates animation and only cares about reality shows and money. So I blame David Zaslav for this crisis. He Should Be Fired. Also, He is the Reason Why I Don’t Support Max or Discovery Anymore.
Pls sir atleast reply there are many trending rumors that cartoon network is shutting down...this should not happen cartoon network is really emotion of almost every kid not to mention i am not an adult i am an kid but i still like teen titans and everything that late 90's or 20's kids like i am literally not like Genz's like being on their phone all the time and forgetting great shows,Tv cartoons etc...
There's a bunch of reasons, but the main reason is that the brand just doesn't have any appeal anymore. They stopped making quality programming and tried catering to a "young adult" audience, which didn't pay off.
Idk It doesn’t appeal much to the North American community ( or anyone speaking English) It shot itself in the foot more than once (even before Dave took over)
I just want to remind people that nobody asked for Disney Plus or HBO Max or The Daily Wire Plus or Peacock. I’d rather these shows stream on platforms we already had!
Now I can't watch Ben 10 omniverse I can watch classic on Netflix but hopefully they don't take it off I can't watch alien force or ultimate alien or omniverse like I said
