This really connected for me. My Gran got alzheimers and dementia and I was her primary carer until the last couple of years when it just became too much for me to handle on my own. It's tough and emotionally draining, and for me that stress likely sped up the onset of my autoimmune conditions, so I've become far more conscious of diet particularly inflammatory foods. I quickly learnt how much rubbish is on our supermarket shelves.

Dude, this is the best one I've seen in a while. I mean, don't get me wrong, all your interviews are GREAT, but this one is in the top 5 that I've seen so far! Thanks for doing these!

Although my dad physically passed away in 2022 from Alzheimer's, I still tell people that the dad I knew passed away in 2020 when he was diagnosed. I wish more people knew exactly what happens when someone gets Alzheimer's, cause it's more than just losing your memory.

Exactly!! My mom was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s in her 60’s and she passed at 81 so she lived with it for a long time. I always say that we ( my sister and I) had to learn to love this new mom because she was completely different than the mom who we had known. Michael was so right when he said you mourn the loss of your loved one years before they actually pass when it comes to this horrible disease.

What am I without my memory? Essentially, a newborn, except with none of the accelerated adaptation inherent in infants.

That's why I love your program because I learn so much from people I didn't know much personally. Only through a manuscript or a script in a movie, it makes me feel and appreciate that not everything you see around you is gold, luxuries, etc., as many imagine, actors and actresses are human beings with feelings who cry and smile. to life, I am very moved by the show, it is very educational about the humanitarian nature of a being called human, thank you teams "INSIDE OF YOU" 👋 🇬🇧

That’s why I read autobiographies. I’m not nosey I just like that “celebrity” or “infamous persons” are the same as us. Heartache upset hurdles in between happy times and a sprinkle of fun❤

So a person you saw on YT, who has no medical credentials but has a lot of 'followers', is who you're going to listen to and take advice from to "change your life"? Wow.

I’ve been battling pseudo dementia for years now. Some cases are reversible however, in my case it’s not and my Drs are hemhawing, with me not knowing what to do with me. It’s a very difficult thing feeling yourself disappearing and fading away in front of my family. I’m 49 I’ve been dancing with this for around 9-10 years (?) I can’t remember. I’ve been clinically depressed and have clinical anxiety. I had a very hard childhood, so my childhood ended at 3. I’m in therapy and telling my niece my story because I’ve begun to lose my memories. I can no longer remember. This is very nice to have someone speaking out for us. Please, please, please don’t forget about us. We still need you and tell us stories, we’re still vital and want to do things. Just don’t leave us behind.

I have a very strict diet and have since I was diagnosed with endometriosis, adenomyosis and interstitial cystitis. I also underwent a lot of allergy testing and I’m allergic to wheat and dairy, which I figured, because they both always gave me horrible stomach and bowel issues since I was a young child (I am 40 now). I try to stick to a low inflammatory diet with very few processed foods and a lot of raw foods. It has helped me get off of so many medications. Animal proteins and eggs have also started to really bother my stomach, as well as oats, so I have to get creative to get the macro and micronutrients I need everyday. I put a lot of thought into everything I eat.

How do are you with fish? Folks who have difficulties with animal protein often tend to digest fish more easily. It's lighter in the stomach.

This was an amazing episode of Inside of You. Props to Max Lugavere, a fellow University of Miami grad, for bringing attention to dementia & the dangers of highly processed foods. I spent 15 years as a primary caregiver to my grandmother who suffered from dementia. I appreciate Max shining a light on dementia & all of the complexities that come along with a diagnosis. We did a lot with diet & exercise during my grandmother's dementia journey & I truly believe it helped with her cognitive function & kept her present for a much longer time. Thanks again to Max for be so open about his mom's diagnosis & for sharing so much valuable information about nutrition. Thanks to Michael as well for providing your audience with great content like this. Your podcast is one of the best.

Magnesium is really good if you suffer from migraine attacks as it helps prevent them. I just get the odd one these days since a specialist told me to try it. I wish they'd told me when it started as been suffering for 40+ years. Great interview as always guys 😊🐾💜👋👍

So, the scientific name of proteins is polypeptides. The chain of amino acids that make up a protein are held together by peptide bonds, which is where we get the name polypeptides

I find Avacado oil works well for higher heat cooking, using olive oil in lower heat applications. He seems honest in his approach. The rock is on all the sauce horriable example.

Everyone is different. There is no one diet that will be the best kind of diet for every human being. It's important to send love and gratitude to your food, especially when it's been alive with a heartbeat, because energy is very real and it also effects your food and health. Also, a side note about Disney World, a lot of people who don't like Disney are aware of how many children disappear from their parks on average every year. No other amusement park can compare with the number of missing children. Love to everyone. 💚
