@@AdzzVR Yep, same. I'm a scaredy cat (still am, solo Minecraft scares me) and physically it's impossible for one to guess that I'm a pu-c 'cuz Im muscular af.
"They were all dead. The final gunshot was an exclamation mark to everything that had led to this point. I released my finger from the trigger.....and then it was over"
+Will. GFX "A bit closer to heaven" " "The cops voices were distant and muted. My ghosts released me from their haunting. Down below New York City glittered like diamonds on black velvet "
this + loop + rainymood. I can hear for hours. I actually do. You feel like smoking a cig, drinking cheap whiskey and avenging a dead wife and child when you stop, tho.
Bradley Preston You know what happens to people who get everything they ever wanted in life? They blow their brains out, become drug addicts, or lose their minds. How do you think celebrities get so fucked up? :)
I like how this very first Max Payne game is so dramatic and how Max resembles The Punisher but with much more elegancy... This is my favorite saga about revenge. One day I will become a billionaire and buy it out from Rockstar just to make a beautiful remake and also shoot the whole live-action series entirely based on the game, with exact story and scenes.
I'll be rooting for you, I share a dream like yours. though my goal is to create something new, similar to the structure of Max Payne, I would love to see this saga revitalized.
I’ve been trying to write a script… If I were to do or show anything new, it would just be seeing a little more of max and his wife and maybe his time as a cop coming up to being who we see in this game. I’d like to delve a little into acer corp. and what work went on in there. And of course or course dream sequences.
They were all dead. The final gunshot was an exclamation mark to everything that had led to this point ... I released my finger from the trigger. And then it was over. One of my favorite quotes of the game as there were so many but that quote was a satisfactory quote as he got his revenge found out who killed his wife and kid and killed em
Could run it on my 333 mhz and 32 mb video PC. Really great graphics for it's time(and still looks better than some of newest games). Story and gamaplay were N1. This game had a SOUL! What do we have nowadays? Only cashgrab and something okish from time to time. Really wish they make a remaster some day!
My favorite game growing up and still my favorite today I played it in 09 I was 4 then didn't understand what great story and graphics was but now the story every chapter the music the graphics everything about this game was ahead of its time making it one of the best games of the 2000s and I'll never get old of it I get goosebumps listening to this and it brings back so much nostalgia
@@zacheatsworld me too man I was fortunate enough to play it before my PS2 got a virus I played a lot of PS2 games growing up but this by far is my favorite but unfortunately I'm almost 18 now and have not played the second one although I want to but this game is the best PS2 game hands down
@@nathanschermerhorn8475 Damn, time flies. Gonna be 27 this year 😮💨 Enjoy your youth as much as you can dude. The nostalgia hits different when you’re almost 30.
I remember buying it on the original Xbox when it came out I believe late 01' or early 02' long time ago over 20 years and still a masterpiece of a game great great memories..
I scroll through the comments. Words blurring as i scroll through like a mad man. I notice not alot of comments are trying to imitate Max's story telling style. It hits me like a sledgehammer as i realize im probally not the first nor will i be last. I also realize i suck at analogies. The truth coming at me like a speeding bullet...
Pretty good. Better than what most others had thrown at me that night, at least. The thing about truths and bullets, they always hit when you least expect them - or want them - to.
I just learned about the passing of James McCaffrey, which happened eight months ago, and I’m deeply saddened by the news. I grew up playing Max Payne with my father, who introduced me to the world of first-person shooters. Those times are some of my fondest memories, filled with laughter and excitement as we navigated the game’s challenges together. As my father sleeps soundly in the other room, I find myself reminiscing about those moments we shared, immersed in the world of Max Payne. It’s bittersweet to think that we won’t be able to relive those experiences again, especially since the game is no longer available on Steam and other platforms. Yet, James McCaffrey, with his iconic voice and unforgettable performance, has left a lasting impression on my heart. Rest in peace, James McCaffrey. Thank you for being a part of those cherished memories with my dad.
I played it 1 year ago and I forgot it, but MaxPayne 1 I played it 14 years ago and I still remember it in my mind, soundtrack is much more memorable and had a greater impact .
BannedIP Yeah, because it was a changing experience, not normal, not really comparable to other games, while now MP3 is hated just because it is new, and not old I guess, but the story and artwork looks more detailed and beautiful. The soundtrack isn't bad still.
"You can't run from your past. You'll just end up running in circles, then fall down the original hole you escaped from, only now, it's deeper." -Max Payne
This song helps me not to give up on any problem that I faced in life or in high school, which have been difficult times for me to do my homework completely alone even if you ask anyone who can help you sometimes no one helps you with anything because you just They use it for their purposes and then you no longer have their support. There are always moments when you tend to do everything alone. Life is usually very difficult for you.
Jakepops No they didn't! 2K has nothing to do with Max Payne! If anything, Rockstar Games only helped publishing it. The boxart has no Rockstar sticker on it though so maybe it was unofficial. But 2K has never even touched the game.
Pain is the only real thing in this world , we have all felt it , some more than others. To live is to suffer so choose your suffering well or life will choose the suffering for you. This song reminds me of pain.
People are self-aware cogs in a machine of life. Some are optimal and „normal”, Some are broken and can be fixed, some are broken beyond repair, some don't fit in there temporary area, some are flawed by design. They may be different by their appirence, complexity, creators (parents and environment), way they work and what for but at the end of the day, they did they job like any other. All of them can be replaced to do thier exact same thing, even if they aren't perfectly 1:1 the same. Because they will after time become old of age or won't be a need for them anymore. We are different from each other, yet still the same. Nobody is original and 100% equal but yet so special in their own right. We can fight each other because of differences or similarities, but still we are capable enough to understand one another. Rest easy James McCaffrey, you will be missed like any other great people in life but still more enough for me to write this comment..
my life was great for10 years 4 years past ever since I moved in turkey and I've had scars and I didn't learn anything from school for 4 years and I was bullied Being Refuge is bad but because of this game's inspiration I've learned my lesson nothing good last's forever not always things go the way you want them I'm 15 Years Old Being Iranian Had Its Own Problems But I've changed I accepted The fact I'm not Iranian anymore and I'm a completely a different person and I'm watching lesson vids on the internet
