For those wondering, his ending refrain after Raging Demon in Japanese is 我、拳を極めし者 Ware, ken wo kiwameshi mono Which is not just Japanese, but it's 1000 year old Classical Japanese that suggests an ancient, godlike confidence and power. I know because I translate Classical Japanese stories and put them up here on RU-vid, and I can't express enough how straight up cool it is. Edit: I also looked up the kanji to figure out what it is. The first 一瞬千撃 Isshun sengeki Lit: "1 instant 1000 attacks" The second 抜山蓋世 Batsuzan gaisei, meaning something like "Herculean strength," more literally "strength to rip out mountains and dominate the world." 鬼哭啾啾 Kikoku shushu Meaning "wailing of demons/ghosts" more literally "Demons (oni/ki) 鬼, "weep" (naku/koku) 哭, and then the kanji for "wail" (naku/shu) 啾 repeated twice so you know they're wailing a lot. And lastly 故豪鬼成 I'm not entirely sure how he's pronouncing this one, but I think it's something like Yue Goki nari Which means something like "Therefore, I am/have become the almighty demon" ('almighty demon being Goki [豪鬼] which is his name in Japanese for those who are unaware).
@smward87 I don’t think so because in Street Fighter V I think you can see Akuma warp around his opponent before each hit when he does the Raging Demon
One anime trope I've always loved is the Old Muscle God. Akuma has always looked young, but now he looks like an old grizzled beast made of pure muscle and spite. So freaking dope.
"I walk this lonely road, the only road that I am allowed to roam. If you step on by, I'll uppercut you so hard you'll leave my home." -the opening verse to Akuma's Boulevard of Broken Bones
I cannot fathom how _everything_ in SF6 is good. It's a masterpiece. I have zero gripes with none of the characters, love all their designs (or re-designs), love the music, love World Tour, love the Hub and the Avatar (and Avatar battles), love all the game modes, love how detailed Practice mode is to train, love the option to go Classic or Modern controls. It's just... I'm blown away by this game. And now THIS new Akuma design is fire, can't wait.
Es porque CAPCOM tomo en cuenta las críticas de SFV. Eso sí también puede meter la pata con las costosas skins o el pase de batalla pero dejando eso de lado es muy buen juego de lucha.
Bet you also love cr. mk into DR meta, raw DR jab beating anything even when you read its coming, corner carry with one interaction, the game being all about skipping neutral with gambly moves, etc, etc. if you have no clue what im talking about or how that affects the game, consider yourself blessed. the netcode is better than V, Ill give you that, but the game is still scrubby as hell, plagued with forced guessing situations to give newcomers the feeling they can beat anyone and spoiling the party for the competitive scene. watching daigo win so many games off throw looping 4 times in a row is definitely a new low for the series.
It's pretty much like Shin Akuma is his normal form now since he chooses not to go any further and become Oni, which would cause him to lose all humanity.
2:19 and 6:00: This move might be based on the one found on "Street Fighter Legacy: Assassin's Fist" by Joey Ansah and Christian Howard. It's Master Goutetsu's "Metsu Gou Sho Ken" that he used on Gouki/Akuma during their death match.
@@EpsilonKnight2Honestly from a lore standpoint I dig the choice if the Avatar can't use Raging Demon. The only man capable of pulling the Raging Demon... Is the demon himself.
I think this is hands down the coolest Akuma we've gotten yet. Love the new design and his gameplay looks absolutely insane. ALSO THAT RAGING DEMON IS THE SICKEST SHIT EVER!!! Cannot wait to try him out
I like how Akuma took offense to the guy attempting to block his Go-Shoryu, and he hit harder as a result. The world tour with him as a master is going to be crazy.
The pin to the ground death stare punch hit hard Luke level 3 but you run into the dangerous street fighter His scrunched up angry beady eye face looks so badass
James Cameron approaches the white board "Raging Demon", he writes He pauses, and adds a letter "Raging Demons" A longer pause, then he changes that letter "Raging Demon$"
6:36 - 6:49 "We've shook the heavens, we break the summit, become the demon. I am the true master of the fist." That's how Akuma said during Shun Goku Satsu.
It's almost like someone at Capcom watched Max's old Akuma vs Shin Akuma boss rage video, and made the new raging demon in SF6 a nod to his final Demon where all the demons come together into one final demon.
Sure, it is not a "classical" take of the Raging Demon... BUT DUDE... that was one of the most badass super I have seen. The camera, the atmosphere, the ANIME AS FUCK factor. Everything is perfect.
