The sneaky match loading while the characters talk shit to each other is a stroke of genius.

I love it that they're focusing more on friendships more than fatalities

I'm happy they moved the intro dialogues into the loading screens. That way, people can't skip them, and we'll have something to see while waiting for the fight to load.

Whoever thought of the transition from fighter select to in game intro has my respect that is so beautifully done

I Love when devs just make the game and keep it as secret and when its near ready then announce it.

I love that the air combos look saucy af. Love raidens redesign, seeing his monk outfit while doing them Shaolin moves is chef kiss.

Before Schizophrenia took my little brothers' love for gaming, he was the neighborhood master of fighting games, his starting game being Mortal Kombat. All the kids wanted to face him to see who could take him down. I miss him so much, but hes an adult now and I have to love him from afar.

I really like the new angle they're approachimh Kitana and Mileena's story from. It's literally a fresh restart now with Kitana being the paragon good girl she's always been while Melina is struggling and being driven mad by her 'disease'. Im getting a whiff of tragedy coming this way

The transition into kombat, the klassic outfits for the kameos, JOHNNYS HOUSE AS A STAGE, There's so much in here that goes under the radar and im here for ALL OF IT

I'm in love with that loading screen. Such a geek for those little things. What an amazing way to keep the special intros without bogging down the start of the actual match!

I GOT GOOSEBUMPS WHEN I SAW KENSHI 💀 Also, him calling Raiden inexperienced is funny. Kung Lao throwing that straw hat was funny, I thought he wasn't going to have his trusty bladed hat. Those scorpion and sub zero combos are FIRE... And ice 😂 The fatalities are fucking brutal as always. All of the hair in my body stood up. 😱

The classic outfits look so good!! And I'm loving that loading screen thing, the whole updated MK3/UMK3/MKT Vs. Screen but talking smack into the match is freaking awesome lol

they finally struck the balance between the slower pace of mk11 and the juggle combos of mkx im so hyped for this

The idea of a god Liu Kang and mortal Raiden is kind of an interesting character switch. I was also happy to see Kano, since he’s one of my favorites gameplay-wise.

NRS is always genius when it comes to intro, outro of the game. They come up with something new and creative in every game. I absolutely love the transition from loading screen to intro!!!

The combos are just amazing, and I am in love with the cameo fighting system. The stages are very good, especially JC’s background stage. One thing it got me is the cameo fighters can do a fatal. Ed just downright outdone himself here.

The character select into the "clash", and then straight into the gameplay is the smoothest hidden loading screen I've ever seen in a videogame

i genuinely love the fact that they are making scorpion and sub zero brothers and im glad they added some color to the series it is a nice new touch and i think there will be more to come and goro returning was something i was praying for even as a cameo character there are still a few more characters on my wishlist but there is no doubt in my mind that this game and tekken 8 and sf6 are going to go crazy this year

To see this, a Mortal Kombat game having air combos is already nutty, especially combo-ing with your Kameo fighter is also really insane. EDIT: I notice that Armageddon has this option as well.... Whoops

The stages are already among my favorites. Considering that it's not a notable step up from 11's graphics, they made up for it in the art design. Absolutely stunning.

The loading screen clash and the intros are the sickest I’ve ever seen in a fighting game.

I was probably the only one who loved Air Combos in MK Armageddon and now I see them again in MK1. So excited! A bit sad Stryker, Sonya and Jax are only Kameos

I'm very interested to see who they're adding, and what kind of story this is going to have. This being a new timeline feels like it frees them up a bit in terms of writing. I was kind of hoping they'd go all the way back to the first tournament with the Great Kung Lao, but oh well.

I LOVE Kenshi's new design. Also making him a sort of Yakuza character is fitting and a creative way to rewrite him. What I'm curious about now is Takeda. The leaked Fighter Pack 1 said it would include him, I wonder how he'd be redone...

The difference between the main and kameo versions of Kung Lao makes me picture a story where the kameos are "echoes" of the original timeline created by Fire God Liu Kang and characters meeting their alternate selves cause shenanigans to ensue, like kameo Mileena corrupting main Mileena or both versions of Shang Tsung and/or Shao Khan teaming up to take over both worlds.

While the character models aren’t a huge leap over MK11, the stages look phenomenal. Also, the fact that the Kameos seem to be the classic versions of characters makes me think that will be the differentiating factor between those & the playable versions.

I actually really like the concepts they're bringing to the table, both story and gameplay, also it seems the kameos will be mostly alternate timeline versions of the fighters, so I wouldn't discard any of them being part of the main roster too, just a different version

Man, this shit is looking wild. Very smooth gameplay and transitions all around. Also liking how the stages are like regular places now and not like caverns and hell pits and stuff.

I was also really hype to see Kenshi, he has always been one of my favorite 3D era characters next to Quan Chi and Fujin.

I like that if you change Kenshi's versions(blind or not),his stance changes as well. It is nice to see them paying attention to such a details)

it's relieving to see kameos can be in the playable roster as well for example we see subzero being a kameo and in the base roster at the same time

The gameplay already gave me so much hope, it seems so damn fun with the kameo characters joining in even with them joining into the X ray/Fatal stuff I’m so tuned in now. I want more

Even if there's some aspects from MK11, which isn't a bad thing at all, just look at how fluid it looks. It flows so well gameplay wise and looks extremely clean/well made. Especially the stages.

Looks like the characters are doing air combos, maybe we will have strings that can only be done in the air? This is very exciting, it's looking amazing!

While not as quick as MKX, the air combos look pretty cool. Still a bit skeptical, but also a bit optimistic. I also like that Sub-Zero has a dive kick. I'm guessing it's his slide done in mid-air?

Kenshi looks freaking awesome with his new effects and new model. I'm concerned about the movement feeling similar to MK11, but the combos look great. Additionally, the cameos have more interaction in gameplay than the average assist game, and the fact that the ""X-rays"" are between two characters reminds me so much of Street Fighter X Tekken with the tag super.

I was waiting for this gameplay so much and MY GOD they didn't disappoint. They did an incredible job in everything shown off, I'm so hype.💥 AIR KOMBOS ARE BACK

as someone who hasnt really played MK before I might get into it with this one. I quite like that they are rectifying that they cant include their whole roster of characters as full characters (a la Smash Ultimate) and are instead choosing to add them as backup characters

Never was a big fan of the super gore (because when you had to experience shit like that in real life, naturally you wouldn't) but even I have to admit, this is looking glorious.

I can't wait to see the skins and the customization for the characters i hope u can customize more than u could in MK11

I'm really excited about this. The gameplay looks fast and the inclusion of legitimate aerial combos is really going to redefine the pace. The cameo characters for the support attacks, many of which obviously not being "canon" but who gives a damn is great. Team up supers make me wonder how many variables there'll actually be in the final game. Most of all I really, really wanted them to hammer home that this is a new universe after 11 definitively completed all the original stuff, and so far I'm liking what I'm seeing. Scorpion and Sub Zero being brothers (Scorpion working for Liu Kang makes sense too since he's the fire god.), Mileena and Kitana's whole dynamic looks flipped(plus restored Edenia!), Kenshi seems to be some sort of businessman or pro assassin, Kung Lao is brawler main character man. And Johnny Cage. (though he reminds me a lot of his movie incarnation, which I'm down for.) Most of all Raiden as a young human man just beginning his journey. Also everyone looks slick as hell. A+ character design so far all around.

I can't believe Mortal Kombat is dropping all of the blood and gore in favor of friendly post-fight pasta making! Such a bold new direction, but as a huge fan of Italian food I can't wait for the Marinarality compilations!!!

Currently, my only disappointment is that Steve Blum isn't voicing sub zero. Visually looks amazing and I'm very happy to see larger meterless combos making a comeback. Still a bit skeptical, gotta wait til beta/release to really get a feel but it's looking promising.

New mk1 looks amazing everything & sooo much going on from details , stages are awesome & music , all the types of team fatalities , team everything. It's crazy need to see more

Fire game that is a definite in for fighting games to me. Played 11 and found it fun offline but online was okay, fighterz had me in the down time. Mortal Kombat 1 gonna be my start into this world for real.

Man MK since MK9 has been popping off. The graphics, the animations and tech are being built on and innovated every time. I wish they found a solution to online input delay, because even on good ping that shit feels unplayable.

14:40 I'm PRETTY sure the way they've done it is that kameos are sort of, alternate timeline versions of these characters, so just because a character's a kameo fighter doesn't mean they're off limits for main roster stuff.

Kameos actually look SOOOO good, the shit you can do with them is impressive.
