As for the membership idea - 💡 I admire your commitment and heartfelt thought process. I love crocheting w you like WIP and talk like this - it like a trip to the yarn shop and sitting w a friend. Tutorials are always welcome - members lives you were great w the panel the other day. Members make alongs like having the impkins reveals and voting for all but your crochet time and tips and tricks as you make the impkin is for members. - that idea could go for multiple projects. I hope this helps as you decide what’s best for you.
I don't always comment but I start my day with your videos, no matter what the content is. I can't imagine not getting my day going without your voice now.
I am also making some squares, but to make a mat with my old yarn that is good to this purpose. How great about your eldest! I like your old videos. Specially about projects and magazines, books... I always leave a comment because I like to give feedback, and, of course, it helps the channel. If you don´t want membership, you could remind people when they can make donations and if they can. Because the values can be very small and, even so, help to push the channel growth. Also... like Laura, from Mad Mimi did, you poeple could donate to help you a charity project, like the heart project or other one. It could help to pay for the yarn etc that is put in good use, and people could join the project in this way. I love tutorials!!!

As far as the memberships I think you should do what makes you more comfortable. After all it is your channel. People will ultimately do what they want and if it helps you out financially then that is great right? I do not pay for any memberships to anyone’s channel but I would really want to do so with yours honestly. I thoroughly enjoy every episode my lovely yarny friend❤. And we do call it “plumbers crack” here in the US😂. And it is a horrible thing to see! I mean how do they not feel the draft of air on their butt?😂😂. A lot of people have what are called "no perks" memberships, because there are so many people who just want to gift the min of $1 a month. As for being a hypocrite? You wouldnt be... many creators dont support (via memberships) other content creators. Those wha do - like you say can afford to do. The vast majority 'get it' and know that not everyone can/will join everyone they watch/support. I only subscribe to memberships of .99 - works out to be $1.50 Aussie dollars because a) it allows me to support more than I otherwise would be able to and b) I honestly believe that if you offer just the min you are more likely to have more people join. To answer some of your questions - yes people can unsub from memberships if they need to, yes you can turn off memberships if you decide to not have them any more. Alternatively you could decide to try sharing a paypal email or a ko-fi account link for people to gift to if they wish. Do it and if its not for you stop. Hope that helps your processing. Happy Thursday my friend! I wanted to let you know my thoights on you potentially starting up memberships for your channel. I think its a wonderful idea, there are alot of us that would join to support you. If you end up changing your mind you can always turn it off. And yes, if someone joins and then something happens and they cant financially afford it, they can cancel the membership and wont be charged in the future months. Do what you are comfortable with and what makes you happy, because at the end of the day if your not happy than it isnt fun anymore and we just want to see you happy. You could also set up a kofi account if you are too unsure about memberships. Either way, there are alot of us that love and support you no matter your decision because you have to do whats best for you and your family. 💗
