To be fair mechanic wise this game is WAAAY simpler than XIII

Ibrahim M Tell me about it, I recently went for the platinum in KOF 13 last month and those 200 trial s were brutal, took me about 4 months total, and even cheated some of the harder ones by altering inputs and adding moves for some, but I got it done thankfully. Nowhere as tough as the ones in Skullgirls 2nd Encore and that one took me a year to complete all 56.

Max Madmax Yeah, like I had to skip Elizabeth's trial 2, Chin #2 since they need super fast inputting while others I had to use HD mode mid combo to add to the links (Takuma #4). And don't get me started on Ash's and Leona's trials, I couldn't get more than 5 from both because you have to really master charge buffering to complete the longer trials, they were some insane stuff.

yeah the ones in Xlll were much harder than these ones. I guess these are the type of trials to "make you get the feel of the character" trials.

this game is harder to master in my opinion, has easier combos but and one meter combo can do a lot of damage spend right. So you gotta play really safe and be very careful against good players in KOF XIV, and not just randomly through out an special or fast ex move and win the match like in kof xiii. i love both games, and am way better in kof xiii but gonna try to get better in kof xiv for sure 😎

Rock in KoF XIV doesn't play that differently from his CvS2 incarnation. And Max has been playing the latter for over a decade, so it's normal that he got good this quickly.

It's just about knowing how the combos MECHANICALLY FUNCTION, so you understand what the actual timings to everything is. Basically, there's only two different things: -Chains of a normal into another normal, and cancels (a move into special/super, or a move into a pose activation, or a move into a jump in the games that have that, etc), are all the exact same thing: they need you to tap the button as soon as the previous attack connects (which freezes them in pose, makes the hit sound and shows the hit spark visuals). Now, the timing will change depending on how fast the previous move is: you might actually have to delay the next button because you have to wait for the previous hit to connect first, because that pose and spark and sound is what the timing for the next thing goes by. Something that takes longer to hit will take longer to connect and that's the part that matters. And when you have to do a motion for the next move, understand that THE BUTTON PRESS IS WHAT COUNTS: you just have to do the motion before you tap the button, while the button tap itself is what has to be done on the exact time. Don't worry about making the motion too slow or too fast, just do it and focus on tapping the button at the correct time, and it will work perfectly. -The other system is links. Instead of doing a move into another move and timing to that, this is you doing a move and fully waiting for your character to completely recover back to neutral, where you time to start a move as soon as mechanically possible when you recover, like when you do a Light into another Light in SF or KOF.

Excellent explanation Tiomasta. I understand how it works, it's just I think I'm too slow in doing the input or I'm too fast and my controller doesn't like it. Like I said I'm going to try it with a stick when I get home from work and see if it's any different.

I tried to do this when it comes to air cancels and it's hard af. Think it's because of spatial skills.

Micah Curtis the only character he cares to learn in this game is Rock. you'll hear that kind of talk by the time the week of shows up here.

He won't play her, knowing him. He already told people on stream to look up other streams for different characters.

He didn't give any reasoning as to why he wont play the others. But it's obvious because rock is the only reason why he came back to this game.

kisama005 He only likes Rock though, but plays Terry, Geese and Kyo. Kyo probably got replaced by Rock now that he is in the game.

+Angelzvx nah, he says he thinks that kyo was the funnest to play out of terry and geese so he will probably keep kyo and drop terry because max doesn't care for terry in this game.

Which voice is better then, Eiji Takemoto or Yuuma Uchida?

I don't know the VA names, but the one from Garou is my favorite. This new one is alright, but hands down the Garou VA.

Recommended combos theres more the game won't teach you.
