I love how Cob starts by saying "You get all this stuff for Assault Scorpion and all you have to do is lose 30 range, it's so OP" and the whole second game, it's just "Oh my god, they don't get to connect!" 30 range matters.

30 range does only matter if the units are positioned far from each other

They would have had plenty of range if they had siege mode. The armor didn't do anything for them since they're rarely targeted anyway and the extra range makes them harder to disable with missiles. The reduced damage can be fixed by having acid shot instead of the repair tech since the first shot applies acid and the second of the double tap gets a 250% damage boost.

Ignoring the emp, neither of them was using the range buff per round. An extra ranged boost to the scorps would have been massive

This was a replay before I learned a neat trick with those running Crawlers in front. Normally, a missle will kill the Crawlers in front. When you use the mobile beacon, let the top 3 crawlers run forwards. You'll save enough Crawlers for them to still do their job instead of buying a second pack like I did this game

Layered crawlers is a must against scorpions. Once you have that, its based on enemy comp. If they are strong anti-air, range and EMP on stormcallers work well. Getting the extended range card for stormcallers is amazing against scorpions. Once they lose the range, they are too slow to get in range again. If the enemy doesn't have anti air, I always go phoenix.

Blue's situation is why we need longer round timers as the rounds progress.

Should let have an extra bank that saves unused time with some sort of cap. Whether that cap is 30 sec or 60 sec. The little extra would make a big difference

So sad to see the Blue player last game totally fucking it up. ANY EMP would have been so useful. Or spawning overlords. Even Energy Absorption for 40% health and regen on melting points would have helped vs all but the boss scorpion, especially before the Marksmen got EMP. I guess they were busy doing something else, wasting entire turns.

12 round game, no unit damage or hp upgrade on the towers, no range or speed buffs and no emp barrage against 4 tech units? I'm all for low mmr memes but this was actually painful to watch. I don't mean any disrespect to either of the players and whoever submitted the replay you're a lad for putting yourself out there for our entertainment but personally I didn't enjoy game 2.

@@commanderpower79 A win's a win. Also for future games triple teching one war factory is probably half as good as double teching 2 of them. That said if you really want to close out a game like this against melters when your opponet has so few stangs wasps can be insanely cost effective and get your scorps in for a winning round.
