AM should’ve sent Lance to WEC, signed Sainz, and positioned themselves to give Verstappen a contract if/when Alonso retires. With Newey and a 20-year 2x champion giving feedback, they should be betting on having a fast car in the next gen… that means not wasting it on the boss’ son (especially when he’s not the only large shareholder).

Adrian Newey should have a salary much bigger than any driver, even Hamilton, Verstappen and so on, just look what his historic car's perfomance OVER 35 years, what is happening with Red Bull's perfomance. He is much more important than any driver.

Newey has a history of (and has stated that he has a personal rule about) not going to successful teams. He likes to elevate teams, not necessarily help them maintain dominance. Aston Martin fits his pattern.

No, they won't. Newey is good as individual, however, no individual is better than an entire team. Where was he when the Mercs clinch 8 titles? Makes perfect sense not to consider Max at all. Plenty of other drivers who would be suitable and far less volatile. Stroll is no worse of an option than Perez. Norris might be an option if McLaren insist on not helping him catch this years WDC but promoting Piastri.

Im Ferrari Fan have been since 75'.. However, in recent times I hate the one make dominance .. even if its Ferrari.. this season has been brilliant .. I wonder what happened to the Newey RedBull design when Mercedes dominated from 2014.. he cant always get it right .. & the likes of Rory Byrne.. John Barnard ..
