It's difficult to tell until he career is over, at his age compared to other legends of the sport he absolutely can be compared to them, especially given he's all but won this years championship

@@williamhobbs4202 of course you can't just base it all on one race win. But we've seen how he drives in the wet, and how he can extract more time in qualifying, as well as more race pace than any of his team mates. The guy is a monster to fight against on the track arguably too aggressive for his first few years in the sport. But this year, he's matured into something really special.

Honestly same mate I never was a fan of any driver before hand cos I was only young at the time but watching that made me support max for the rest of his career

It happened a lot more in the older days of F1. Modern F1 has lots of regulations to prevent anyone from being on the track while the cars are in motion whenever possible

@@imd2565 Pirelli lost Max that race, they over estimated their tyre life. Hamilton made a mistake, he rarely makes them but he made one. Hamilton decides button placement and he had his risky way of releasing the clutch (with the hand going above the wheel). 2021 was full of points where both of them could have gotten points advantage. Max was more unlucky than Ham over the whole season, was nice to see him win even tho it wasn't under fair circumstances. (tho merc could of pitted for softs just like Max did).
Back than, as a long time F1 fan, i was just hoping that some day, a fellow Dutchman would win ONE grand prix in my lifetime. That day was my best F1 fan day in my life, and i still get tears when seeing his drive and performance that day. Now he is at 52 wins and 3 times WC. As the races get boring, i still can enjoy his focus and dedication to racing (and racibg alone). Just a bit more competition would be nice😂

That’s a small minority of mostly toxic Lewis fans and Ferrari fans. Lewis gets way more hateful comments than Max does and I think Max has way more support than Lewis does.
