This album is easy on my top 5 ever. Absolutely beautiful. I don’t know how you got through rest without sobbing. Been listening to the album all week, it always breaks me.
Dave & his mom were super close. She died just a few months after Taylor. Dave's parents divorced when he & his sister were young. Dad was judgmental & unaccepting. Dave grew up with his mom & sister...and he's now a dad to three girls. Dave's mom was a public school teacher for 30 years. She understood & accepted that school was NOT for Dave....that being a musician & touring in Europe was his calling. She went on tour with him after she retired...chilled with other bands lol. Dave has had a lot of friends die way too young. He LOVES life & lives like every day is a gift. Dave is a treasure & needs to outlive ALL of us!

very solid album by my guys (been a loyal fan since 98). sad album, Grohl even at 54 makes a beautiful masterpiece. most artists lose their creative abilities in their 30s.
