That disc appears to do a real good job. The bees will sure appreciate the stand of sunflowers! The winter cover crop looks good! Your farm is looking great! How would bermuda grass do at your area? Lower elevations in NC its very popular. Big blue stem would be great too. Good job!
Thanks, we purchased Bermuda grass hay in the past. Mom's goats didn't really like it, and the short length of the hay didn't feed well. Had a lot of waist out of the feeder. The grass grows well around here till it goes dormant mid summer, then it's brown till fall rain. Big Bluestem is a native plant to Arkansas, and we hope to get it in the test field this winter. Seed cost is 3x the Orchard grass seed, so it may take a few years to move to that variety.
