Great piece of shop furniture. So nice, in fact, that it practically cries out to have a little insert on the front to complete the trim where the base of the drill press sits. Just for looks, it would come out whenever you need to remove the drill press. It's also crying out for some kind of finish. I know you don't usually finish your shop furniture, but this one looks too nice, it needs some protection. Even just some spray poly would be good.

Verry nice build 👌 lots of thought went into utilizing every cubic inch of that place. However I don't suspect the push to open poppers will have a long life with the weight the drawers full of bits and drills. I advise doubling them up. Even more practical would be to just use a handle. Yes they will probably mess up the clean look a bit. But when working it's easier and faster to throw them open and shut without a thought. Personally I love the poppers but only to create a clean look in the house whare I'm not constantly opening and closing doors and drawers in a hurry.

Best drill press stand I have seen. I have watched many RU-vid videos and yours are some of the most innovative. I was wondering why you used dados instead of rabbets for the top and bottom pieces, but then your handle idea and push to open plan explained this. Really good ideas. I really don't know where you get the inspiration for such clever yet easy to build ideas.

Will the push-to-open springs be strong enough once you get the drawers fully loaded? Drill bits and the like can be pretty heavy. If they do work, you better paint your drawer fronts because dirty hands will quickly ruin the nice clean look of your drawers otherwise. Nice work.

You could do push to open on the smaller drawers, go to the back of the drawer router in a channel (on the side of the drawer) to allow for the push to open to live and there you go. (though the friction on the drawer slides may be to much for them)

This has to be my favorite project of yours and this is the 3rd time watching it. I haven't looked, but I am hoping you have plans for it. After this 3rd viewing, I definitely want to build this for my shop. There are a lot of steps to the build so as you did, I will be doing this is steps so as not to get to over whelmed with a one day build. The genius of this design has to be the vertical drawer behind the pillar. Here I was just going to attach a shelf to the pillar that swings in when needed and back when not. I then would have had to find a placement for the rest of my drill bits and attachments. I just finished laying out every bit and attachment I have to make sure it will all fit. This will be a fun project!!

I would add one detail to your drill bit storage unit. A vertical through all and a dawl on a "chain" as a travel lock. That can store in the handle area when not in use. Without somthing like that all of thous drawers of bits are going to shift the balance of your load and eject themselves onto the floor and then tip your other load the other direction. Don't ask how I know this.

This is great as always :) I think it would be a really cool detail if that top facier of the pull out drawer of interest could pull up or perhaps even spring up automatically, when chalf the box is clear of the slot. Two reasons: the bottom has use of catching the push release, this would have a symmetrical use. Also a little shamfer of the box behind the upper facier would make it easy to do I reckon, if it can be done while hiding the fixing point-making it look really neat when pulled up/out :)

Recommend moving the handles further towards the front of the holder, so that the drawers naturally stay further back, such that you don't risk having a drawer and contents fall out
