Maximizing The GERMAN Bias - German T-72M1 - War Thunder

The T-72M indeed had worse coverage on the turret armor than on the Russian T-72A because that was cheaper to produce. In game tho it's only visually different since the actual armor protection is volumetric and not affected by the Xray module.

I only want the T-55AM-2B and then that's enough for NVA tanks

That turret armor in the x-ray is simply bugged. T-72M1 has the same level of protection as Soviet T-72A.

The next one should be the T-54AMZ. It is a variant which is natively GDR, so it would really be fun.

There's a DDR film called 'Offiziere' which has some great tank sequences with T-55s and T-72s, its a super cool watch.

It was a fine experience with the Finnish one, for being armed just with the 3BM22. It lacks some pen value but the spall output is great even facing other Soviet/Russian tanks (one tapping TURMS was so fun)

I gave up on this not long after it came out, The TURMS was 9.7 at the time getting better ammo, thermals and ERA. Always felt I was being uptired to 10.0 aswell might give it a go again now that some BR changes were made.

Justin about the spalling on the bmp3, it has a fuel tank in the front that eats every dart, even dm53. Check in protection analysis, if you shoot direct front the dart's spalling will be eaten and it will kill the driver and maybe the engine.

When that shell spalls it does it tremendous amounts

hey justin, with the recent BR change i think its now worth doing a revisit on the base ztz96, it can pen everything (except t72b unless you aim for weakspot), war better turret rotation speed and 10km reverse, and its been maybe 3 years since your last video

no sure when this video was recorded but with the radkampwagon being lowered to 9.3 it would add another flavor to the 9.3 german lineup

2:52 , the reason you might be surviving more in t80s, is because they use the vertical loading system, as in war thunder, the entire loading system is covered in armour (which is not visible in xray) and that is what is "preventing" majority of the spalling on russian tanks ( this is why when you shoot the side turret, it does actually spall a lot), while on the t72s and t90s, the loading system is down low, which is also protected by the armor around the carousel, but by that fact, there is no armor in middle of the tank, which means when you shood middle side on these tanks, like t72 and t90, they spall far more, normally. I think there is little russian bias (maybe slight changes needed for some russian tanks) but it mostly comes down to the damage model, which even some non russian/chinese tanks have. According to the WT WIKI, armor thinner than 5mm doesnt spall. If you go into nvidia ansel and do free view in the hangar, and go inside the tank while in armor view, you can see there is internal armour, which is light blue (very thin), so its presumably under 5mm. There are actually multiple non russian/chinese tanks with internal armour thinner than 5mm and it also doesnt produce spall, but only CONSUMES spall. This is why russian tanks feel so strong. This is why the merkava sometimes spalls a ton, when you shoot the turret ring area, there is the external armour, and then there is an additonal armor which is THICKER than 5mm, so it produces fuck ton of spall., but if you hit slighlty under that , or over, you do almost no damage. After i told you this, you know where to shoot, avoid areas with thin internal armour. When i tell people i have no problems with russian tanks they just call me a russia shill lmao

I always scout in my light tanks but it seems like its not enough points given to the person that scouted the enemy when a teammate kills them. Also, the drones wish they actually scouted the enemy and not just marked a spot where they were because when they are moving it's almost pointless because, by the time you get back into and start moving in your light tank, the enemy is already way away from the mark you put showing they are or were there. But if you're a light tank then drones should do the same thing as if you scouted from your tank.

I think the QN is aalright, if we had bigger maps (bring back red desert!) I think we could make better use of the “SPIKEs” the commander sight is amazing though.

The M model had simplified turret armor with less coverage than the native T-72A I don't think it makes a difference in game outside of the module viewer tho

How manny try´s did you need to do to get this manny downtiers, i mean i usually get about 80-95% out of 100 matches as uptiers, so the fact you can show 2+ downtiers up in this video, means you either played a LOT to get the photage, OR get unresnably lucky. Also 8-9 range is rough br whise, a lot of those sub 9.0 tanks dosnt get thermal or laser rangefinders, so its a lot easyer on downtiers vs those guys imo. So a T72M1 in downtiers has a lot of advantages, esp when most of the 8.7-8.3(8.0) tanks needs to aim relatively well for presice pens on your front, while u can autopen them almost anywhere with 400+ mm pen rounds.

Germany is already OP with best support vehicles and best MBTs.

Shame that the PUMA is 9.7 now, its not even that OP as people make it out to be. At least it could get the choosable higher RoF and even the Spike ATGM, i mean it can only carry 2 of those ATGMs

Germany should not get Russian tanks. I say this because Germany is already a formidable country in its higher tier lineups and further bolstering them with some of the best tanks in their br is only going to create problems and especially add to their already horrendous br problems.

T72's except bwm nad b 1989 model are tottaly shit in game. There are so many speedy wehicles nowdays and it struggle a lot against IVF's which make a garbage from you after 2 seconds. Good mobility, fast reload, good gun handling and turret traverse are the crucial aspects of meta and these ones are exaclly what this tanks lacks of.

germany is the most op broken garbage in the game, it's war thunder easy mode. stabilizers for everything decent armor, fast reloads under 10 seconds, excellent gun depression, germany is the most op trash is the game.
