I do appreciate your time and your lovely videos. I prefer longer videos- 40 minutes works for me. I enjoy getting in depth art information, creative process talk, and material choices. I find the more art I make, the more I notice specific differences in papers, paints, binders and bits informative to hear others commentary on different materials. I’m not likely to take up oils but I appreciate your commentary on oils & acrylics as well. Your vivid palette and personality are always a spot of sunlight for me. I don’t appreciate “positivity please/only good vibes” viewpoints 😆 and I find your videos art-positive & genuine ✨💖✨

I love it! I love the extra loose scribbling and of course the color 😍. I like both quicker and real time…the chat is good company and who doesn’t love supply and process details?! Also would enjoy the studio makeover😊

Hi Irit. I really enjoy watching you paint and listening to you talk. I have circled back to painting after being immersed in quilting and machine embroidery and I am trying to catch up to where I was before. I have always insisted in “doing my own thing” and seem to be incapable of following someone’s step by step instructions. That sounds great but for me it means lots of experiments and not-so-wonderful results. I am certainly not “there’ yet but I do enjoy the process.

Irit...Sorry for my long comments, but your experiences here get me thinking. I hear ya re: your art journey. I'm 67, retired from regular work life and only got more serious about developing myself as a "professional" artist in the last 6 or so years. I took art in high school and then had a big gap of mostly nothing art-wise... then took quite a number of fine art courses in my mid 20s - early 30s at my local community college back in the late 80s /early 90s. Then, once again, I mostly ignored my need to create art. Life & other work got in the way...or I let it get in the way. I'm struggling now with other obligations and energy but determined I'm gonna get back to it...and have made some little starts recently...and I'm really missing my watercolor! So I know I'll get back to my joy and learning! So glad you're back and will be doing regular vids. Thanks for all your encouragement! ❤

Hullo Irit, thanks for sharing this lovely video with us! I enjoy the 20 minute time frame. I don’t care for videos that incorporate music over or under the video in place of comments from the Artist. If I am going to spend my time with someone I want to know how, why, reasons for creating the artwork before me. I do watch longer videos up to and over 1 hour! I have found some techniques simply do not fit within the RU-vid time “sweet spot” which seems to get shorter all the time! If you create truly interesting content, I will watch no matter how long it is! I believe that education is the true key to developing your own art style. I started watercolor at 10 years old. When I was about 15 I thought I was creating some truly original ideas and artworks! Nope, I was just making bad Miro imitations. Knowing what has come before will allow you to surpass previous artists and give you the knowledge to not simply repeat their ideas. Now if your “coping” a style to learn from it that is so different! I started using soft pastels in 2016 and they are the most vibrant and difficult of mediums, yet creating those marks of pure pigment? There is nothing to compare it to! I am excited to see your future endeavors with Neocolor 1&2’s and I think you might look at Schminke gouache again, I remember it being quite lovely to use, but very expensive over here! I used Turners Design Gouache for years at the design firms I did time at. Beautiful colors, but be careful as so many colors are NOT lightfast! I have no work from those days. It was all filed in the circular bin, yep the TRASH CAN! After the work was photographed the company policy was no originals. This made for “fresh” ideas even for repeat clients. Oh geeze, Well I have run on, good luck moving forward.

I prefer real time. But I’ll watch whatever you film. I’d like to see a video of you using the Delgreen gouache sticks and the Molotov acrylic markers in your paintings. I’ve been sick the last 2 weeks so I haven’t been able to watch your class videos but so happy that I can watch them at my leisure 🎉❤

Thanks Diana! I don't use the delgreen sticks on paintings because they are not from a well known artist grade brand and I've decided to build a body of work using the best materials. I would be the happiest ever if a major manufacturer made such sticks because they are fantastic. I use them a ton in sketchbooks and with my kid. Love the formula. So sorry you're sick, hope you get well soon and the videos are there for you whenever you're ready 😀❤️

הי! אירית באלף :) תמיד כיף לקבל הודעות בעברית (לא קורה הרבה) הסגול לוונדר הוא Holbein Mauve OP 434 לגבי הניאון לא בטוחה לאיזה התכוונת, יש לי שניים אחד יותר אדום Holbein Luminous red OP 700 השני ורוד Prismacolor neon pink PC 1038 שיהיה שקט!
