Hello, I take a look at the Maxpedition TT12 for use as a sling bag with a CCW option. Unfortunately for me, the CCW sleeve is tiny and can only accommodate sub-sub compact options and then with no holster. Nice bag otherwise.
I just picked one of these up on their closeout sale, and I think it's going to be a great little pack that has multiple uses. I'm currently setting it up as a mini summertime "get home" bag to keep in my truck for my normal daily routine where I'm never more than about 10-15 miles from home, and wouldn't need any actual cold weather gear for another month or so. The ONLY thing I wish it had would be that velcro loop side material on the interior of the main pouch as well. You are spot on about the small CCW pouch though. If I was to use it for that though, I would probably just keep a backup in it like an LCP or some other ultra compact because my main carry will be on my person anyways. Good review!
Thank you. I really wish I understood the designers philosophy with this one. Maybe just a certain size with a certain feature set despite if it worked or not. I can see why they are discontinuing it. Too bad. If it was only a touch larger and narrower it could have been a lot better.
It's kinda smallish for sure. Up here (Canada) we don't carry handguns (we have little need to), so the concealed carry thing isn't really an issue. But I can't think of anything I'd use that back CC compartment for... Maxpedition is awesome (I've own a few pieces of their gear and would buy more if I needed it) but that bag's a hard pass for me, judging on your review. But maybe more urban types might like it? 🤷🏼♂️ Good review.
@kanukkarhu like I said man. You won't need one,until you need one. You will always have plenty of need for self defense no matter the rules. And you should always desire the most effective means of self protection and defense.
