So the DTs have known injector and high pressure oil pump issues. The sputtering during startup and the sputtering during normal idle tells me that at least one injector is not firing properly.
@@aaronevans5635 There's a reason they're called Shitternational where I'm from, EVERY maxxForce school bus and fire truck has already been Cummins swapped because these engines are more trouble than they're worth, stick an ISV5.0 in there and call it a day
Always have since day 1, there's a reason my local school district repowered all their MaxxForce buses with Cummins while leaving the T, DT and even the VT buses well enough alone after doing all necessary repairs on the VT buses to make them reliable
Maybe a bit too late for suggestions... But I can see the grid heater is not working and it looks like it needs a Hpop as well. But what do I know 🤷🏻♂️.
Recently, my bus in Texas had an issue where when the parking brake was applied and released, it would cut the engine with the chime and we would have to open the emergency door to remove the chime so the bus could get restarted. It was not the first time it happened this school year.
