i am so flipping excited!!!!!!!! the trailer talks about the whole world is going to know her name and that's been her motto since the first movie X so l wonder if there's gonna be a cult that gets obsessed with maxine for being a "devil" or "sinful" daughter? the cult that her father might be a part of at the end of X with the cult following on the TV I wonder if those are the ones with the white robes that are shown for split second in the trailer I feel like the night stalker killer is just gonna be a distraction, but in reality there's gonna be a crazy obsession and the cult will find maxine filming movies then they start shooting on set with real guns then for a split second you can see mia goth being on a pole with fire infront of her so they're gonna try to "burn" the witch? idkkk but don't trust me tho i could be wrong 😢
I'm so amped for this. X was a bit meh imho, Pearl was absolutely glorious, and will MAXXXINE step it up even more!? Also Moses Sumney omg yes 💕. The cast looks fantastic, although I'm unfamiliar with Halsey(?)
Im looking forward to this one. Looks fun. I really liked x. Pearl wasnt really my cup of tea but i appreciated it. This one looks just as good as x was. Looking forward to this. Love the 80s vibe
I love love Mia Goth fantastic Actress in my eyes one of my favorites love X and Pearl in Pearl she played Maxxxine and Pearl also love her performance in Infinity pool definitely gonna check out this movie
This looks interesting but I don't understand why it uses such a modern color scheme/saturation. One of the best things about X, is that it looked like a movie that was made in the 70s. Pearl, used a color scheme very reminiscent of old technicolor films from the 40s and 50s. I don't know why Ti West chose not to replicate the look of 80s films here.
I know what you mean. This trailer does recall the aesthetic of 80's cult films like "After Hours", "Choose Me", "Angel", and "Crimes of Passion" among others. The spirit and vibe is authentic, but the look is more "retro" than his "House of the Devil" which truly felt of its time. It looks great nonetheless!
