I love these videos. It has been something that has fascinated me since I was in Iraq and saw things like Kurdish police in blue camo and a Turkish officer of some sort in a very yellow tinted tiger stripe pattern. It turns out that there is more of that sort of thing out there than is possible to keep track of. I just want to know how Uniform History guy stores all this stuff. Does he have a personal warehouse? 😄
Some of that Vietnamese camo looks like the pattern used in the atrocious 'Street Fighter' movie of 1994. Fun fact: that abomination of a movie was filmed in Australia, so once production wrapped the wardrobe disposed of the camo uniforms, with a local surplus store in Brisbane buying the lot. Kicking myself for not buying a set when I was looking for an appropriate uniform for OPFOR duties in 1996.
@@GearReview23 donno how rare but id guess earlier stuff would be. im not a collector, just had to do some novice digging/research for a project a few years ago. there are photos/combat footage floating around online having been used in the vietnam war(late war) and also post war through the 80s-90s. i think they still wear some variation of this even today
I have 11 BDU Tops from the US 7 in total one be a generic Marine 1942 reversible Beach-Jungle but cool anyway, Woodland, UCP, AIR FORCE Tigers, Scorpion 2, DBDU 6, and DCU 3. The others are an East German Strichtarn, Auscam Jellybean, Siss Alpineflauge, and my newest, a Swedish M-90 Woodland which my wife dubbed it Mosaic. When i go on my walks in the foothills where i live she picks a uniform from a hat and that's the top i wear for my walk, i wear solid color pants, not the full uniform. So far not to many weird looks but the Auscam Jellybean gets the most, but heck i don't care its my second favorite after the The Marine 1942 top. Still more to come at least 4 maybe up to 7 then I'll have enough for any continent and any environment i go to.
