Hello IC CE 213, I graduated high school on June 10, 2023, which was two weeks ago from yesterday (June 24, 2023). The last school bus I remember riding was a Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 that my high school used as a shuttle to go back and forth between the school's two campuses. I rode the bus because I had to switch campuses to return from graduation rehearsal. However, the last REGULAR bus I rode during my K-12 years was a 2022 or 2023 International CE that my town's bus company got in January 2022. It was my regular bus throughout half of my Junior year and all my Senior year of high school. The bus was labeled "50", which I thought was sort of a special number. The bus's sisters were 49 and 51. Because the company got the three buses at the same time, the specifications of these buses were pretty much the same aside from maybe some minor differences. The bus was a thirteen-window model, and it was equipped with tinted windows which I thought were pretty neat and helped keep the interior cool. The bus had the Cummins 6.7 engine, which I thought sounded a lot better than the Maxxforces my town's older CE's used. Unfortunately, unlike 49 and 51, Bus 50 did not have a Cummins badge on the hood because at one point, which was when the bus was being delivered I think, the bus was involved in a minor accident and the hood had to get replaced. Before I rode on Bus 50, my regular bus for a few months of my Junior year was a Bluebird Vision. The Bluebird was borrowed by my town from a neighboring town and it was most likely used as a temporary replacement for an older bus until my town acquired 49, 50 and 51. At first, I did not like the IC as much as the Bluebird, because I preferred the Bluebird's looks with the slanted rear windows, but then I started warming up to the IC because the seats were very comfortable. Sometimes I felt like I was riding in a SUV instead of a school bus. Bus 50 will always have a special place in my heart because I had lots of memories riding that bus during my final two years of K-12 education. I will DEFINITELY miss riding that bus everyday from school and back home. If I was still going to high school next year, Bus 50 will most likely be the bus I will be riding.
