ABOUT LUDICROUS FEED
Ludicrous Feed is a Sydney-based RU-vid channel that started in 2018 after Tom purchased his Tesla Model S. Great news for BYD owners. The Tesla supercharger network is what makes long trips viable in an EV.

I can confirm that the latest Dolphins work fine with V4 Superchargers. I bought mine 2 weeks ago and tested this in Springwood.

Supposedly the latest OTA update is available but have not been able to download it yet. BYD do this on a batch basis, will provide wireless CarPlay to Dolphins and a few other enhancements that the BYD customer care person listed.

About 7 Attos to every pre-march Seals so it is very exciting. Should be called a voluntary recall by BYD and they should focus on upgrading owner cars oldest to newest in priority.

Thanks for sharing this Tom, I’ll drop by BYD Townsville and see if I can organise this charging upgrade for my Atto next week I’ll let you know how I go 😁👍Also going to try a run out to Winton QLD in mid June using the new QESH chargers installed at Charters towers, Hughenden, Winton and Longreach according to plug share app they look like a few second gen Tritium units, got Schneider AC back ups but it’s a long stop at 7 kWh 🙄😁

Don't get your hopes up if they're still testing the fix on Seals, they might not be ready for a flood of Attos coming in yet.

Hey Tom, slightly off topic but on the related issue of charging, do you happen to know whether you can charge your BYD Seal using the Tesla UMC? I was expecting it to work, but it is not charging for me unfortunately 😢

Would this be constituted as a recall on affected units? Regardless, this is great news. The question is often asked 'i wonder what their ongoing support is going to be like?' This outcome is a great testimony to the level of ongoing support that can be expected from BYD going forward. If it wasn't for the March 24 Seals, I'm sure V3 V4 compatibility would have just been written off. But the fact that they listened to customers, effected changes in production, and are now effecting retrospective changes on existing units is a very reassuring response as a BYD owner.

It's great to hear a fix is in the works. Lets just hope it works for all their EVs that have this issue without causing another like suggested. Im looking at going EV later this year or early next and this type of issue was a concerning issue for future compatibility for public charging for me. A 1 hour fix to me seems rather fast, makes me wonder if they are just replacing the component with the issue then fixing the removed part to put in the next person's vehicle. Hope you get your car fixed up next Tom. Will surely make any long distance travel tests/reviews a lot less stressful to make.

Not sure how comfortable I am with the idea of the (and I know im over simplifying this) rhe workshop apprentice just soldering away in my car. I'd be worried of increased fire risk.
