Sir JBG !!! Get your Bossman to buy you the glad hand extensions !! They will prevent the lines from breaking off the glad hands when you connect & disconnect the lines !! They ain't that expensive & will save money in the long run !!!! KEEP IT SAFE !!!!
R for Reefer. 741 might be the vin last 3 digits. How i would label my trailers. F for flatdeck, S for stepdeck, D for dryvan and L for Low Loader. When a trailer comes up for inspection, say "yada, yada, yada, 2789535, the trailer number would be R535. Keeps paperwork quick when x trailer is due for maintnance, repairs or inspection. Whatever trailer has the worst track record would be gone.
I'm wondering the same about your company's trailer numbering system. You had a R73 or R75 when I first started watching your channel. Then you got a new R74 and now you got a newer R71. I guess small trucking companies can do that,but larger ones have a more precise numbering system for both their tractors and trailers.

RoyDu812 Yep, paperwork is quick and easy. The digits 741 might be the vin last 3. Quick easy paperwork and filing system. R741 comes in and R456 goes out. Get the 2 documents at once or let it stack up them you can easily seperate it at weeks end or have a "bot" in a computer algorythm that seperates into each trailers folder on a dedicated server with at least 2 daily backup files.
