That KFOR video of it crossing I-35 is iconic. It hit right where Shields Blvd. merges into the interstate. Several people took cover under that overpass. One woman unfortunately didn't make it and several others suffered gruesome and debilitating injuries. Three people died under three different overpasses that night, putting to bed the notion that they were a safe place to take cover. 25 years later, people are still doing it.
Unfortunately, until then, the reality that highway overpasses were not, in fact, a safe place, wasn't known. For 8 years (Andover day), people saw the video of the Kansas Turnpike and got the idea that they were safe places to go if you're in a vehicle a see a tornado coming at you, especially due to the outcome of the people in that video - survival. Even before then, it was though of, as in a film "Terrible Tuesday", about the April 10, 1979 Wichita Falls tornado, a man got under one and made it.
Unlike 2013, this one didn't just affect Moore. It lasted longer, and tracked through Chickasha, Bridge Creek, Newcastle, Moore, Midwest City, Tinker Air Force Base. Moore's 2013 tornado was on the ground just short of 40 minutes. The unfortunate thing about that one, is that it was at it's peak intensity while it went through Moore. But this one was a long tracked violent tornado it lasted well over an hour.
God be with the families of the victims. PRAY FOR ISRAEL. PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM. The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the Gospel. Mark 1:15 THE LORD JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS AND ROSE AGAIN FROM THE DEAD. WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE YOUR PLACE IN HIS HOUSEHOLD? THEN PLEASE REPENT OF ALL YOUR SINS TODAY, AND GIVE ALL YOUR LIFE TO HIM, WHOSOEVER READS THIS MESSAGE. THE LORD IS GOOD, AND NOBODY IS OUT OF THE CANDIDACY FOR BECOMING A CHRISTIAN.
