Quality film Dave. Had a similar experience to yours on a lake in the Midlands I fished a few years ago. I caught 7 in the first couple days of what was going to be a 5 night session. Then the bailiff turned up and said we're closing the lake. Very frustrating it was.
Mr Lane, I hope you read this, the best thing to light a bbq with Is white spirit. Leave for 30 seconds before lighting. Lights a bbq up a dream. Just don't add to a lit bbq. You will thank me later.
Dave I love watching your channel if always makes me smile when feeling down can’t wait to get on the bank I’ve just moved down to Bournemouth and looking for places to go , to be honest I feel a bit lost as I knew loads of places up Newark , Lincoln way plus I’ve to find a fishing buddy which isn’t to easy for me trust issues anyway I just want to say the mess in the bank and your humour make me laugh and smile always time for cider lol

Great session. I think alot of lakes in the UK are getting far too precious about spawning fish or more to the point shutting lakes prematurely before they spawn.
100% agree, sadly even fishing is falling foul to wokeness, small local clubs asking for a full vetting before joining and baliffs acting like humanitarians with regards to the fish

An enjoyable watch as usual Dave, I particularly liked it when you were holding up the first 3 carp for the photos, there was a song bird in the back ground singing away as happy as Larry! I think it may of been a lesser spotted pied wagtail..not a 100 percent though? but it just set the scene of an Island Adventure.
Great bag of carp there dave! You are dead right, like bloody buses mate. Listening on my headphones and the bloody bird song is so loud. Louder than the jumbos!!
If you're looking for somewhere wild to fish there a certain 400 acre resevoir not too far from where you live . I have the whole place to myself most sundays hidden away in the trees
