Brilliant a timeless piece of history , so important , as time and carp fishing as moved on so much, a time when you where making rigs , baits finding new waters etc so watchable
@@davelane1996 Argh ok.....kept hearing the thorpe park common being mentioned whilst i fished k1 and assumed it was in there ,whilst i had a cemex ticket.
Thank you Dave.....amazing to see the historic monsters i used to dream about again ....and reading in carp world about your jenks catches on there ....Inspired many a carp angler 👏🏻👏🏻
The trouble i find with supposedly carbon body reels is flex & and wear, especially around the bailarm rotor & bearing causing line lay problems etc..& carbon has become a marketing catch all term for polymers (plastic) with very little little graphite content..
This adventure in Wraysbury is like your first pint, eating after 2 days with no food, summer and cold beer with good friends, and a few real things you cannot work out that annoy you, tease you and frustrate you.
It's my first time I've made a comment even though I watched every vlog you've made 🎉a merry Xmas to you and your family and look forward to your vlogs in the new year.🎅🎅🤠👍
Evenin Raver. I just want to thank you for sharing. I only found your channel a few weeks ago. Legendary stories most of us can only dream about. I started maybe a decade after you but can relate to so much. Your awesome. this channel has been a godsend. Helping me get through the 9/5. Too much to comment on! So i'm just going to have to say cheers. Thank you so much. Totally lovin it..
Laney you got a mansion for a swim there mate separate bedroom from the living room with a kitchen dinner with a beautiful view what more does a carp angler need 😋 😀 😉 👌
Thank you for your considered opinion. I actually spent 2 years working on these rods myself, with no input whatsoever from any company or wage payer. I'm not really sure what JRC have to do with anything? Last time I checked they were doing very well.
Gotta be honest, I’ve had the same JRC bed chair, chair and sleeping bag for over 23 years. I have never needed to buy another one. They are still lighter than most of the stuff you buy these days. Will not need a new one any time soon, I’m not sure what you’re saying about JRC?
I love dave lane but I’ve also read his books and followed him on social media. It’s clear he uses any old shit from some of his past exploits. Anything dave lane uses I’d be dubious about ,as the man’s taste in fishing gear is dubious at best and is often home made or broken in no time, a stig of the dump type character if you will. He will use anything tho to catch a fish. Which is a back handed compliment I guess as he is a carp catching machine .. 😂
Well that may have been true a long time ago but it all changed when I got a job in product development. Now I can make gear exactly how I want it and the DIY is a thing of the past.
Dave is an exceptional carp angler 1 of a kind id say his photo album is a dream maker and he's humble with it .Dave does the hard graft and reaps the rewards 👌his tackle he uses or has used in the past has zero impact on his exceptional catch results. Keep up the good work Dave top angler 👌👌👍👍
@VALIS538 not really just Chinese carbon paying for the reel seat more than anything tbh the guides ain't that good I have titanium one I got off aliexpress cheap
First off Dave great to see that your okay as I thought you'd disappeared from existence with the lack of uploads haha. And the rods look great I shall keep an eye out in my local carp tackle store and give them a look 👍 Hope to see some more fishing diary uploads soon I miss cooking with Dave haha stay safe and well Dave.
