I knew nothing about guilty gear and its characters up until I tried the strive beta and fought a May main. Like, HOW MANY DOLPHINS CAN YOU THROW IN ONE GAME
A friend and I were playing the Strive beta yesterday, and we were having a blast. Fucking around with every character, sure I lost almost every match but they were "close" enough for me to enjoy the fights themselves. Then he picked May, and a few minutes later asked why am I salty.
I liked it, people that didn´t like it will literaly kill you if you point out that they didn´t need to do it in the first place, yet they did and actually brought in people with lots of talent.

@@luciorock07 Her best buttons for challenging are in the air and that doubles for Sol cause gunflame shits all over her while his 6P sucks and his DP is easily challenged by both jump Heavy Slash and jump 2HS. She was probably waiting for him to charge in and take that last tick of her health
@@DeRM0907 that makes so much sense, thanks for explaining, i thought that she was jumping trying to HCBF because it sadly happened to me a couple of times, i need to keep practicing
@@luciorock07 thankfully that command feels very loose in this beta. My advice is to not push your analog stick all the way down when you go for the half circle portion. Instead you should slightly tilt it downwards as that'll stop you from jumping back when you come up to go from 4 to 6.
Couldn't he like jump to the other side then dash back? Don't know, I'm not even good but it sounds like a better idea than standing straight in front without doing nothing until the OD ends

I played May throughout the beta and I never relied on her dolphin. Just straight up neutrals and small combos I learned on my own. The dolphin is kind hard to use for me. Hold back for 2 seconds, then forward M or H...yeah I used it to close in on opponents or hit them out of something they were doing, but I never used it in a combo string or spam it.

Knowing how charge works in street fighter i say the player was already charging each time he used the dolphins and im guessing charging in this game is twice as fast than street fighter. But again im just guessing
