Riley just gets everything she wants . Maya has gone through so much and has to fight for everything . Pls bring back more seasons and give Maya all the happiness she deserves
I hate the fact that the série is based on Riley , but when maya is hurt or sad , they don’t talk about it when Riley is sad they talk about , Maya stepped back from everything Maya should the attention in the série because Riley had everything the boy the family everything Maya gave everything
eLLe hEleNe it’s because it goes off of boy meets world, and Riley’s dad was main character and now she is so it is based off of her life and who’s in it, and Maya is a big part of her life so.. the show shows the reality of life because some people get ‘better’ lives than others and some people have more privileges and this show gives an example of that
i never got this show when she is "bad" everyone tells her to hope and get good grades when she gets good grades everyone is like stop being riley. god good doesn't equal riley

I feel like maya was the soul purpose of this show! To show life from two young girls, fighting to stay friends no matter what! They showed us what is so hard for us to see! Maya is so understanding and loving know matter what her life brought her

It’s so sad that Riley has everything and I mean EVERYTHING, she got the boy, she has a great family, she’s happy, she has friends that take care of her, but what about maya? She had nothing, when she was “bad” they tell her to change to have hope, but when she’s good, she’s suddenly Riley. EVERYONE protects Riley, but nobody protects maya, if Riley gets hurt she has EVERYONE to make her feel better, but maya doesn’t they just say she’s strong she can handle it, but sometimes you can break. I just wish people saw that.
Dang this really makes me mad..Riley ALWAYS got what she wanted and all of her friends had to sacrifice everything they ever wanted for her.. she was so selfish till one day Miya quit.. she just stoped.. she didn’t want to be the person Riley was holding on to.. she wanted to be herself.. she fought people and Riley for so long.. she... just wanted to be her self.. happy.. it really affects how Miya felt she never let anything get to her.. well that’s what people thought bc she hid it till she got home.. it hurts her and even I can see the pain in her eyes..
I hate the fact that when maya gets better like she started having more hope and being more happy,her friends start comparing her with riley saying that she was being riley and instead of suporting her they just judged her and abandoned her when she needed it most.

As a young kid I never really understood what maya went through. Not that I’m older it hits like a ton bricks and hurts my heart to see her go through that and her “support” wasn’t really her support at all but partly the cause of her problems.
Maya deserves better Riley got everything she wanted and Maya went through so much protecting her Riley . Maya even kept it a secret about liking lucas so Riley don't get hurt
I felt like zed was the only one who understood Maya and understood what she was going through, and I feel like even if there all smiling Maya always has that sad look in her eyes.
This is just more proof that Riley is a horrible friend. The moment Maya starts being happy, starts getting good grades, behaving well, and being a better version of herself, she goes and destroys it just so she can get the guy. Maya gives up everything she has for Riley when she has next to nothing, she fights for Riley who never fights for her. And after she brainwashes Maya into being her "old self" and sees how depressed she is agian, she thinks everything is fine. I'm so upset they didn't show the purple cat in here because it shows how in chaos Riley is the only clear thing to Maya, or ... How Riley is Maya's chaos. Through out the show Maya repeatedly makes comments that it's hard knowing Riley and how she's alot of work. It's a low-key toxic relationship. When Riley went harajuku and goth Maya knew it wasn't really Riley and didn't say she wasn't herself when she was sad because she's usually happy. Because Maya knows who she really is like the mind reading thing, Riley is so self involved she doesn't know Maya and expects her to tell her everything so it seems like she does when Maya just knows. Riley is a horrible friend, she gave Maya hope and took it away when it didn't benefit her anymore. Maya deserves so much better. 😭❤️
I used to ship lucaya (now I ship joshaya) and lucaya could've totally been amazing if riley wasn't there. Every time I watch edits specifically I see how bad of a friend Riley is at times. Maya gives so much up for Riley(Lucas) and riley just fake gives up so much. (Lucas) and I also see that Riley always made things about her. Like how Maya "became" riley that story line was SO dumb. Like why couldn't maya just like Lucas? Why did it half to become about Riley?

i 100% agree that Riley has so much more then Maya, and that Maya deserved SO much better treatment then what she got, but Riley did end up having some shit that Maya, yet again, had to help her with and Riley took everything out on Maya, but that just proves how strong they’re friendship is and that they both are incredible characters, and actors. No hate to Rowan Blanchard, Riley’s actions weren’t her choice she just played the character. love them both

i hate that this show is centered on riley. maya is hurt and broken inside and riley has entire episodes about a missing bear and not getting asked to a school dance
This could have been such a good show if they didn’t went into more if Maya’s life and not just Riley’s amazing life and they only did one episode in maya and that’s the one when she sees her dad and gets disappointed they should have made at least one episode when maya gets what Riley has(someone you can always rely on as maya was always there for Riley but Riley was hardly ever there for maya when she real6 needed her)
It would’ve been so amazing if they went into more about Maya and her home life / how that affected her. And farkle, like his parents were mentioned to absent a lot and farkle became a shell of who he was in season 3. I wish there was an episode like in BMW where they would revolve episodes around the best friends of the “main character” and stuff - they were the notably the best episodes. Like the one where Shawn joins the group and when his dad died. Like those were some of the best episodes and they weren’t about Cory.
Riley is a jealous person she's not good for maya because she let's her take the blame and step back from her needs for riley's. She's not good for Lucas because she doesn't deserve him she just got him. Lucas in not good for maya because he doesn't deserve her she like him so much and he knew but did nothing about it and the moment he starts dating someone else he "tries to kiss her" what a jerk. They might not deserve her but they need her and she needs them she's the glue that holds it together she is mature so they don't have to be she grows up so they don't have to. She's the friend that we don't deserve but need
Unpopular opinion: I don't like Riley because she takes everything for granted, she has a perfect life and she just takes it for granted like she's never gonna loose it, some people have shit lives like Maya and seeing Riley have this perfect life and still complain about things is annoying

Riley should have just let maya go through this and not try to change her it’s her life and if she wants to do something new she can Riley shouldn’t try to “fix” maya she isn’t just something you fix she is a person not an object she is a human being someone who goes through things sometimes. She just needs to understand that maybe she just wants to be good for a change josh understood that and now she was showing her true colors. Maya is maya she was acting bad to cover her rage and sadness. And now that her mother is happy she wants to be herself. I guess Riley doesn’t understand that because she was always happy her parents were “Corey and Topanga” she had such a good life maya didn’t have that, so yeah maya has a right to express her feelings and be depressed we all get depressed sometimes it’s part of life nobody’s life is perfect, but I think I am just rambling sorry 😐 I will be going now bye. I feel like this show purposely made Riley the main character instead of maya and it gave the show so much more depth. Also in my opinion Riley was extremely selfish.
