Maya love you loads darling. I'm half Somali as well and my dad was not only abusive physically but also racist and would talk down on Somalis/black ppl (my mother) and that really fucked me up for the longest it was insane and I just always felt so low being half white half Somali but as I grew older I realised I am who the fuck I am! Also Somalis are amazing ppl and I'm very proud now but it scarred me psychologically but I'm lucky that my dad felt really bad about it later in life and apologised for it all so I guess that was closure for me. Before I kind of thought of you as oh maya is like me but the prettier tanner hot version. But now I realise we have similarities with dads in jail. I hope you get the best in life darling and get over everything and have the best relationships with your loved ones. Insha Allah

abu khalifa whoever says that is a confused Diaspora child, they must think they are african American. i have lighter skin then her and naturally wavy hair. she has darker skin and naturally curly hair . most my cousins resemble me too.. idk what kind of somalis these people have been seeing because when I went to Somalia I saw plenty of light skin people and I don't mean reer xamar even our jareer maid was light skinned
