Her character development from the season of Cam's death until now is really sad. It all started with Cam and she's really not over it and everything else that's happened since then. It sent her on a downward spiral and she's not okay.

it seems like the degrassi writers have completely forgotten about cam. like all the characters act like he didnt die. wheres the continuity?

I know this is like years after cams death but I've only just started to watch degrassi a couple of months ago and honestly I agree that they should've done it being a suicide attempt but not actual suicide. Cam was my favourite character and I cry everytime I watch the episode where they find out and the scene of Maya breaking down in episode 38 or something. Even if I think of cam I cry, we are just so tied to characters like him. I had hoped they would've had it be an attempt and then he could get help because I hate seeing Maya with any boys now, it makes me wanna throw up or scream at her. And I kinda want her to tell miles about cam. Like even fully mentioning him, because in the whole of season 14 she just mentions she's had a bad past with boys or she can't let something happen, she also said in season 13 that the last time some one disappeared on her she never saw them again, and she even said that to miles who still hasn't questioned it. It's like after the end of season 12 they completely forgot about cam. I hope they bring him back into the storyline in 14B. Because everytime they mention his name or whatever I cry and get excited but they just gave up on keeping his and Maya's storyline going even after his death 😭

Even before me and my boyfriend got together he had problem. I listen to what he was says and try to help the best I can, but I feel like I'm not doing enough. He's messed up and so am I. I just dont know how to help him when I cant even help myself. I'm scared that I'm going to end up like Maya with my first boyfriend dying. Sorry if you wasted your time reading this. I think that this affects her the whole show. And it finally pushed her to overdose in next class
