People tend to forget that Clint almost took out the Shield Hellicarrier in Avengers, with only a couple of arrows. One of them, a USB arrow.

The drawing that Kate did of Hawkeye, was actually his original costume from the comics.

It makes sense to me that they really couldn't do comic accurate costumes for so many of the superheroes (and villains!) because in live action is would just look too silly and destroy any suspension of disbelief. But it is cool when they toss in these little throwaway nods to the source materiel. 😎

That's my favorite episode from the first half of the season. I really loved the moment between Clint, Kate and Nathaniel on the phone, it was kinda sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. Also, the hawkear joke gives it an up.

You have to hand it to Hailee Steinfeld, she communicates so much without saying a word, first her admiration for Clint as a dad, then her guilt when she realizes she's responsible for keeping him away from his family, and it's character growth for Kate who now sees the repercussions for acting without thought for how that might hurt others.

Maya's father was a member of the tracksuit mafia (maybe not one who was a Bozo) so Clint as Ronin did not discriminate when he went on a rampage against criminals after his family got dusted from Thanos' snap.

Your weird fact of the day, Maya's sidekick is played by Fra Fee who is a super successful singer and musical actor from Ireland. His big regret in doing the series... he lobbied for months to be part of "Rogers: The Musical" and was turned down.

Clint is emanating Roger Murtaugh vibes throughout this series. Trust a brother. The Giant Arrow was absolutely incredible. The car chase scene in this episode was phenomenal.

Hawkeye and Moonknight gotta be my favorite MCU shows. Kinda disconnected from the big stuff but also full of heart with nicely paced humor. Also, can't wait for the Uncle reveal.

@@DToomer Popularity of MCU attracted people from all walks of life. And now the most negative ones are the loudest, giving the impression that people hate a lot of projects. People that watch X movie or TV show and think it's fine or good probably won't go to Reddit to complain or won't review bomb it on IMDB. Haters will do that. Also, everyone is taking themselves way too f*cking seriously nowadays, and tying their whole identities to entertainment properties. I consume content from a ton of properties (tons of games, MCU, Star Wars, Warhammer, Harry Potter, LOTR etc.) and never fully engage with communities in any of them, because online discussion tends to attract the worst kind of people.

Btw I don't know if you get why Hawkeye said that Black Widow killed the Ronin. But in the 5 year blip, Ronin has been killing so many criminals until End Game Black Widow brought the news that they can fix everything.

2:58 "this is giving me Daredevil vibes." Good! It should. Echo as a character came into existence within Daredevil comics. She's my favorite of Matt Murdock's many, many girlfriends. She actually beat Daredevil in a fight, so you know she has skills. The red lighting you saw with her introduction at the end of Ep2 was a nod to Daredevil.

Clint killed her father because her father was a criminal. Clint became Ronin to kill criminals who weren’t blipped by Thanos because he thought it wasn’t fair that millions of innocents lost their lives but criminals got to keep theirs.

Ronin killed and executed criminals who survived Thanos' wrath after the snap. Where his own family got taken away, he felt justice in the fact he could take down the criminal scum

You yelled "Parkour!" This suggests to me that you're a Dresden Files fan who's probably caught up on the series. A good thing to know if I'm not mistaken about this. Also, this series is mostly based on Matt Fraction's run on the Hawkeye comic book series from around 2012. I think the dog first made an appearance during that run as Clint's dog.

Pretty sure yelling “parkour” is much more widespread than Dresden Files. I’ve never watched more than maybe an episode or two of that and I’m very familiar with the concept. I’d probably trace my initial concept of it to The Office, but I’ve seen it lots of other places.

@@AdamNisbett Well, the idea from the books is that you don't yell it, you just do it. I've seen several reactors do this, and it's always been because they've been reading the Dresden Files (so far).

I've never even heard of the Dresden Files but know very well of the concept of yelling Parkour when going over obstacles. Pretty sure it was made popular by the show "The Office". Try looking up the video "Parkour PARKOUR - The Office US" here on youtube

Average cost for hearing aids is $2000 per ear. The suit in purple was a traditional Hawkeye suit in the comics. It varied with dark purple and purple trim to black with purple trim and blue with purple trim. Is there a reason when someone does a parkour like move a viewer seems to be compelled to say parkour? Seems every reactor calls out parkour when someone is leaping over a box or crate or running across a building top doing somersaults and leaps.

i love how Kate is a terrible artists. So often in these types of shows or comics, the hero character is a super talented artist on top of all their other skills.
