He needs 1 to 2 season of domestic red ball before making a test debut. He has played 1 FC game. For comparison, he has bowled 100 balls in domestic red ball cricket, Bumrah had bowled close to 900 overs in domestic red ball before making his test debut. Give him time to develop for tests. t20 is fine though.
Good pace but in test, when conditions are not favourable, you gotta consistently bowl at good length and spot, and I think Mayank needs to work on it.
@@DayOneCricket Exactly. Bowling multiple spells of 4 overs in unforgiving climate and Conditions with consistent line and length. Then we will know whether he can withstand the REAL TEST.
Yes definitely had some injuries issues - but even if he can get through 1 test would be beneficial. Thanks for watching the vid please like and subscribe if you enjoyed!
It’s not the most naive and uneducated POV I have heard over and over. India are not stupid or desperate enough to send a rookie with no established red ball credentials on a Test Tour down under. That’s what teams like Pakistan do - and that’s why they haven’t won a single test there in over 20 years! You seem worried about Shami at 34 years of age. Starc is 34 turning 35 during the course of this series and Hazelwood is 33 turning 34 during the series! Develop better cricketing insights before making analysis videos!
Thanks for the reply - you make some good points on Shami's age vs Starc - i think it's more the fact he's coming from injury. On Yadav, it's more India lack real pace and he is one player who has shown it! Potentially worth taking him in case you want some x factor in a test match
