I felt that on every level

It started slow seasons 1-2 but went off the rails seasons 3-4 show gets better every season

I noticed that too. The Sons had Juice, Montez, and Armando (Samtaz), and more who were clearly hispanic so this part of the story seems inconsistent.

Yeah, so here's the thing... Chico Vellenueva was the last of the "First Nine" to join (and the first to die). SOA started up in 67, Chico joined in 68. So that gives it some wiggle from for Diaz to be truthful. Chico was the one who brokered the 'first peace' between SOA and Mayans. The only reason why Chico was allowed to join was due to his likeability and motorcycle stunt abilities. I bet JT saw it as a way to help settle things with The Mayans and set the way for the Puerto Ricans like Happy and Juice to join later on. (as much as Latinos/Hispanics like to claim La Raza (Brown Race), there is no "Brown Race". You are either "white", "black", or Asian ["yellow"{might be derogatory}]. Lastly, I am sure you know this is loosely based on Mongols and Hell Angels. Early drama had it that HA didn't allow Mexicans at the start too; so Mongols were all Mexicans. But that's ancient history, as both MC's are international and have members of different nationalities. But I am glad you brought this up. I don't think people know enough lore behind this series. I am still hoping for a First Nine series!

Well probably not AT THE TIME they didn't I suspect Chico was the 7th member other first nine so at the very beginning they didn't accept Hispanics.

Maybe the particular SOA Charter that he tried to join wouldn't accept no Latinos.........remember, the SOA Mother charter doesn't have direct authority over the other SOA Charters. When Jax expressed his wish for The Club to accept Black men into their ranks..... Les Packer said that that is a choice for each individual Charter to make.
