This is a review & wear test on Maybelline Superstay Full Coverage Foundation. Is it the best drugstore foundation out there? I'm doing this Maybelline Superstay Full Coverage foundation wear test to find out and compare it to a drugstore foundation I love for my combo oily skin, Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless! I think this video will help you no matter what skin type you have!! So glad you finally did a review on this! I am so loving this! For my long work days (12 hours) this lasts my entire shift with 1 touch up. I have found if I use a setting spray it holds even longer. I think a brush gives you the best natural look with this. Even though a sponge works as well. I love the fit me but I think I love this more.

This is now my absolute favorite foundation since I bought it a month ago, haven’t reached for anything else! And I find it plays best with Hourglass Mineral Veil and even with a bit of the Porefessional that I use on my nose and cheek area. And it plays nicely with my other fav, the Maybelline Age Rewind, doesn’t do that weird thing some foundation/concealer combos can do. It’s the highest coverage I can get that doesn’t look very makeup-y, it just sits so nicely. Really in love with this one!!!

Great road test! This has been my favorite drugstore foundation for the past few months. I’m more on the dry side and it gives me a nice satin finish and isn’t heavy on my skin. For the $10 I paid, this is definitely worth every cent. I think it looks radiant & beautiful on you Stephanie!! xo

I reviewed this right at the first of the year and fell in love with it! It’s still my favorite drugstore foundation but I’ve been testing another one that may just knock this one out of first place. My skin is normal to dry so I’m happy to hear that it works great on oily skin too. Great review Stephanie!

I’m so glad you did this video. I have been on the fence on buying this foundation. We are the same age and I enjoy a full coverage foundation but was afraid it would settle into fine lines. It looks gorgeous on you! Off to Walmart I go for my shade!

Glad I watched! I’ve seen 5 reviews on this. Emily Noel and you both like it a lot. The others I’ve seen, were oily girls, like myself, mid thirties here, and they got really really shiny midday. Matte and Poreless does that to me too (extra shiny) , also everyone I’ve seen says it oxidizes orangish. But your review may have turned me around to wanting to try it again? 🤔

I truly liked this foundation on your. I saw no breakup around your nose or chin and the fact you didn't blot the first day is a good omen. It didn't look oily at all just moist, which is nice and fixable, as the day went on. I agree you should just keep using it. I love your bold eye in the closing video! I love this foundation..its my new daily foundation along with wet n wild photo focus. Im normal to dry with mature skin. I havent found a high end as good as these 2.

I have normal/slightly drier skin and really like this foundation. I just make sure to moisturize super well and it doesn't cling to any of my drier patches. ELDW is still my holy grail but this has become one of my every day, no fuss foundations.

Home lighting is big windows (natural light and not studio light) and a simple ring light to eliminate shadows which is a must if you film videos. Unfortunately I can’t film regular videos outside in my car. 😉 We creators have to film with the best lighting conditions we have in order to eliminate shadows and give true colors to you guys. It’s hard to understand if you don’t deal with equipment and editing on a regular basis though. Outside is always going to be the best light which is why I always try to do one check in outdoors. :) Thanks!

Stephanie Marie have you used Dermablend loose setting powder? Also the Estée Lauder double wear concealer. If you have used concealer what shade. They both are in the 21 days of beauty at Ulta. I was really hoping this would be a replacement for ELDW. The shade 120 initially matches me well... unfortunately it oxided on me ( never happened before!), broke apart , transfers a lot and made me very oily. Not what I was expecting at all. Disappointed 😔

I had to go lighter for sure. I’m surprised at the transferring and breaking apart though. Even with a primer? Yes, it’s not very oily controlling. Revlon Colorstay might be one to look at. Or stick with the ELDW!

Stephanie Marie Yes! Various primers.... sponge.... different brushes... different powders. The only way it works is if I mix it with another ( long wear) foundation. Yes, so far ELDW is holy grail! Wish I could find a good shade match with the Revlon Color Stay!

I'm not sure offhand Tory. I think just a few, which is kind of surprising. I'm usually just a tad lighter than the middle of a shade range but had to go into the ivory section b/c of how it darkens.

Less than a pump for my face. You can see when I hold my hand up after I did half my face that it used less than half of the one pump. It has nice natural coverage...a little goes a long way. :)

Using a brush gives full coverage. The sponge really is alot of work and makes all foundations mediocre and sheer. Brushes are quicker as well.

I do different methods in my tests, including using a brush, as I did in this video. I actually find sponges quicker and better for full coverage products bc they eliminate streaks so much easier and even things out more quickly. But I really enjoy a brush with this one.

I use such a small amount on the tip of the brush and apply in sections in small amounts...I never dot it on my face first or I feel the same.

I have a question off topic hun ☺️ I have fine lines under my eyes they aren’t dry thoo there just noticeable can you recommend me a eye cream from the drugstore o you think I should use a eye cream with retinol in it or just something hydrating ?

Hi! I have a skincare playlist that may help you. There's an affordable skincare video I did not too long ago that addresses eye creams. The drugstore ones aren't really that much less than a lot of mid-range and dept store ones unfortunately. It's kind of crazy actually. For fine lines, I'd go for a treatment eye cream like Shiseido Benefiance or Skinceuticals AGE. One of the Olay ones might help as well. But they'll run you around $40. Hydrating will help plump. I prefer that for under makeup and use Kiehl's in the am, which (when priced out by oz) is no pricier than drugstore. :)

What’s the olay one called ? It’s for fine lines correct ? And yes when I apply makeup especially concealer I always add my primer on my under eyes as well it really helps a lot
