@MaycoColors Hello there! I am waiting for light magma to be delivered ❤ I have a question about firing curve. My pieces are fired by someone else and will it be ok to fire as follows?150°C/h to 600°C 250°C/h to 1250°C Hold the time for 30 minutes (soak) It will be firing with other glazes as well that require that curve. This is what I have been told. Can't wait to try it!!! Thank you for the video!!
Thank you for great demo. What glaze combo did you use under (or over) dark magma? I am interested in creating similar running effect with dark magma. Can you achieve such effect in combination with black mate glaze?
Thank you for the demonstrations and tips! Is it possible to fire the glaze cone 2? My kiln can not fire that high so I have early sintering clay and fire glaze firing around cone 2.
Love this new glaze and tried it on some small pots. I fired to Cone 5 with a 5 min. hold, but didn't get the craters, just a sandpaper finish. Does this need to be fired to cone 6 to get the craters? Any holds, slow/fast firing? Lydia
is it the texture of the clay that makes it look rock-like, or is it the reaction of the glaze itself? in other words, is it going to look like it does in the thumbnail texture-wise on a smooth clay body? :)
Does this air dry or you need to heat it to make this product work ? I know nothing about ceramics I just would like to add this texture to a vase that I have
Can the glaze be spray applied? Looking to achieve more of a sandpaper finish, versus deep craters. We currently have a spray booth with a filter / fan in the studio.
