The bastard child of Metal and Punk grew up blacker, colder and more nihilistic than its uncompromising progenitors. It inspired killings, church-burnings and grave-desecration. What a bad ass kid.
Siempre fue una banda de sonido punk , si no hubieran descubierto a Hadez ( Peru ) y a Sarcófago (Brasil) , Mayhem hubiera sido una banda mas al estilo Venom .
Actually this EP is better than most of the albums and ep's this band released in their past, while the first part of the EP is generic Mayhem stuff the other half part that is dedicated to cover versions is really fresh and entertaining, thanks for sharing.
how is a cover of a song "fresh" compared to original songs? just because it's been a few decades & you've heard them many times & you've never heard MayheM cover punk bands? coving punk songs is very far from what Euronymous probably would have envisioned for MayheM a BLACK METAL band, in my shitty opinion at least. not saying nething bad about punk music i listened to a lot of it as a teen but this is MayheM. i guess it doesn't really matter what he wanted for the band tho since he was murdered & planned on being murdered by his band mates, his vision for the band that he got the initial recognition for doesn't mean shit to them & why should it? they sold out just like ne other band that gets involved with music as a whole it seems. shit life in general every1 fucking sales out at some point in life, in some way for some reason. it's shit.
@@swampcrypt they use Dead as ambience during freezing moon in their shows but treated euronymous like what he did was worthy of being murdered, they do the same but in a less "brutal" way. that seems like selling out to me. punk is not black metal. they r anti establishment but they shun the ideas of elitism while in a way being elitist & i don't think they give too much of a shit about theistic satanism, a lot of punx r atheists. black metal was established on the music &the beliefs. tradition, whatever those traditions r were already set & they want to change them/water them down making it into just another genre of music. i can only really assume because of $, you profit more when you make things more acceptable to ppl. you also profit more off of fantasy then reality, the fantasy of killing & being killed keeps you& ppl around longer to drain them of resources rather than the reality of killing you& others. it's just an entertainment cashcow instead of what euronymous &dead were making it.
@@ThisIsDownstate i know, it's escapism for a lot of ppl from some of the realities of life. i get that, it used to b the same for me until i started hearing other things in the music. sometimes when you see/hear something a certain way it's impossible to get it back to how it used to b. if you r 1 of the ppl who just want to enjoy the music then you should stay in your ignorance of what music is really used for by the industry & the occult & ppl with values that they want to subconsciously force onto ppl. keep yer will strong, it is a lot harder to do subconsciously then ppl r aware of tho. a lot of ppl don't realize at all & usually the 1's who do notice too late. enjoy yer music.
I mean people hate euronomus at times still , but least he helped create this great band and after his death least jørn and the fellas kept it going , I just bought Atavistic Black Disorder and I love that song everlasting dying flame the song is just top shelf black metal , but fenriz made alp man and that song is great also , black metal bands are making some great stuff these last couple years it seems
why does the beginning of Voces Ab Alta sound like Buried by Time & Dust to me? *i don't like the punk covers, i like punk music but i didn't like the covers. i don't come to MayheM to hear other bands. i'm not sorry for sounding like a fucking "karen" about this.
@@Eugene-dk2mn No punk=no black metal. if punk is garbage, so is bm, genius. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vWr2eLkhAxg.html ""I think Punk Rock music and Black Metal have a lot of similarities. not only in music as such but in the attitude. It's all coming down to doing what you want without conforming to a trend. These two types of music are actually very close, closer than most people think. I don't see the big deal about mixing those types of music, I think it's actually a bit shocking it didn't happen earlier"." (Bard Faust of Emperor).
