Do it , if there was a word for how I felt when I first played a song that I loved the word would be "orgasm". It is just so beautiful hearing the song come to life on your fingers...
+Memes Lixos Just buy a guitar and start learning to alternate pick using only your elbow not arm and stretch your fingers. If you have passion and practice like 7 hours a day like a freak you'll make great progress in no time. (You'll still do great atleast an hour a day.)
I've never heared someone playing it as close to the originator (ergo Euronymous) as you. No kidding. Many people call it an easy song or even a bad song and they try to play it like their guitar teacher told them. But they don't transpond the atmosphere, not even Blasphemer did. This song is, technically, pretty easy to play, but if you want to play it properly, you have to feel the riffs of Euronymous and the lyrics of Pelle. And imo, you do.
@@SimonSmithGuitar I'm right-handed and I play left-handed and my sister taught me how to play this song including the awesome solo the pedals we use are two boss overdrives and a DigiTech metal master pedal
You are the best teacher Simon; you make songs look so easy to play even if they are difficult i am a drummer who is learning guitar and your lessons are a big inspiration for me keep going the good work
You missed the D string 2nd fret on the way down the strings after the initial opening chord, I think. I am pretty sure it is Chord, then 4 notes going down the strings, E, B, G, 2nd fret D. 👍 Other than that, great job, & thank you! Now I can play this shit myself. 😎
First time I played this song, it made me cry, 'cause I played on a classical guitar, with finger, and I was absolute beginner. But, it has awesome riffs, and sounds very sinister. Specially riffs we have to use tremolo picking :)
Awesome tutorial, thanks a lot for this. I'm just starting playing guitar and it's nice to have tutorials for good ( and rather easy-to-play) BM songs. I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but is there any chance you would be doing any Mgla tutorials? I or III from With Hearts Toward None, for example. Would love to learn to play those...
takk bror for vitenskapen! Jeg prøver å lage noe for norsk black metal. men det fungerer ikke så langt, for jeg er alene i dette spillet! men darkthrone / mayhem / burzum / satyricon / disse kommandoene er i mitt hjerte ...
On the seconds part pf the song, where the first finger of each of the chords is on 7-6-7-8, what are the rest of the fingers on? Its really hard to tell, and what I think it is sounds really weird when I play it
Hey, do you know on the last riff where you play F and then you say "3 open" while having your middle finger on the 2nd fret of the A string, do you play the open E 3 times? May sound like a very stupid question but I don't see your hand striking the E and A string if you get me? Thanks in advance!
Nice! I'm assuming you do most of your stuff by ear? During the first tremolo riff though, how did you manage to decipher the second guitar? DMDS has been one of my favorite albums of all time, and Freezing Moon is ingrained into my head (and my fingers. incorrectly prior to video...). Im shocked because I never realized there was a second guitar during that section, or at last I let my eyes deceive me (reliant on tablature..). Also, what would you suggest for the solo key/scale wise?
