A great tune written by Shorty Rogers originally played by Maynard Ferguson and the Stan Kenton Band. Arturo Sandoval is the backing for this video from his album "Trumpet Evolution". Sorry about the Double D and some of the wrong notes. I worked it out by ear today so it isn't quite right! Hope you enjoy!

I sit here and hear almost otherworldly beauty. Maynard's high notes were gems, but when combined with his rich tone, & execution,THAT's the M.F. who will be remembered until the end of time. Shorty was great, and I've a huge respect for Mr. Sandoval.The very best of everything to you Louis.

I've yet to see a 17 year old that can do this. This is insanely awesome. I've yet to really play much of anything above a high c.. just haven't felt the need. But this makes me want to actually start working on my high range.. haha.
