Maynard Ferguson - Take The "A" Train 

I love the way he interacts with the band and the audience.

He hits those high notes with no effort at all and there is incredible power with it.

These were the cats from CBC who were the very best in their field, including the impeccable Ed Bickert. Only these guys could play this cut at this speed. WOW!!

Maynard was amazing as always, but the lead player sounded tired or the mic was messed up or a combination.

The sax soli was, well.... More rehearsal perhaps?

It's jazz buddy, there's no set tempo. Sounds great if you ask me. Maynard can fucking toot on that horn at any speed. Lol.

Sorry, the other version is a lot better.

Not going to lie but kind of a bad recording on the band side. Lot of mistakes from all the horn players and the leads sound kinda iffy
