Mayo Clinic Fibromyalgia | Treating At One of the Worlds Best Hospitals
As promised, I filmed as much as I could while visiting the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. I experienced some hurtles, and I am still in the process of trying to overcome them. I filmed as much as I felt comfortable to. I will be making this process into a serious so we can have a bigger Post-Viral Fatigue Syndrome, and Fibromyalgia community. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Central Sensitization all kind of fall under the same scope for Dysautonomia Chronic Illnesses. This is my second trip to Mayo Clinic. Here is what I got out of the trip. I did 21 days of pain rehab for Central sensitization at Mayo in Fl and it was life changing. One of the Hardest but best things I ever did for myself. I am glad you found Mayo- and I’m glad they have condensed info for fibro in day long classes now. Back then I needed more/ I needed to live there and learn to live and not be bed bound- but I’m glad they have more options for people now as well!!! Cheering you on big time. Truly is hard to find others- especially other RU-vidrs who get

Your video was FANTASTIC!!! Thank you for taking the time & for being so honest. I have it all too so I get it. I found myself excited with you & ANGRY with you (that clinic thing!!! AHH!! Not cool!!)... I found myself saying "YES SISTER!!" as you explained things. There is something very powerful about others really "getting it". My daughter also has it and it breaks my heart that she has to go through it too! Thanks again!!

I know the hard-no on caffeine...but going to decaf and occasionally half-caff has helped me IMMENSELY! I never realized how much it affected me and the crash I never realized I had, until I stopped drinking full-caff. I still have a long way to go, but changing up my coffee has been noticeably positive. Worth a try.

Oh no!!! You missed the fibro clinic- I am so sorry that happened. I felt that same thing when I went and insurance initially denied. I sooo feel ya. girl reach out if you ever need to talk- Mayo changed my freaking life with fibro- I mean yeah, I still hurts Always and have flares/ but I’ve done more and accomplished more since Mayo than I ever thought was possible - my insurance wouldn’t cover my CSS/fibro at first either- I thought I’d owe thousands upon thousands- we chose debt because I was that bad and that low- thankfully in the long run I got it covered. But I sure did hand over every credit card I had. I still have legit PTSD from all the dr and people that ignored me and didn’t know or couldn’t help…. I feel you so hard right now hunny.

Thank you for sharing! Super annoying with the insurance and how you were treated. I have been very curious about how operations work for fibromyalgia at the Mayo Clinic.

There is a Mayo clinic in Indianapolis, Indiana and I believe one in Cleveland Ohio. Wouldn't those be so much closer than Florida? I'm so sorry they rejected you without having prior authorization. A class that costs that much $$ should automatically confirm that lady is a scammer and maybe she knows some about fibromyalgia because she listens to people complain about it all day but doesn't necessarily mean she's an expert on best treatments. I wonder if she ever came close to healing anyone with Fibro?

Btw no offense but I’m laughing hysterically about your reaction to this diet 😂😂😂 I’ve been on that diet for 11 MONTHS!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭 you have any idea how much I want Taco Bell? 😂😂 my integrative Doctor (Dr Dean Mitchell - Mitchell medical group NYC) has me on that diet, and is giving me IV vitamin therapy and IV glutathione. I’ll tell ya, the vitamins are whatever, I’m sure they’re helpful but I don’t feel them on their own. But when I got the glutathione the first time OMG GIRLLLL that shit was amazing. I stopped the infusions for like 5 months cause I’m broke, ended up going from like mild/moderate to very severe, literally couldn’t leave bed for more than to bathroom thats 20 ft away. Then, I got an IV infusion and YOOOOO I was up and down two flights of stairs several times a day, making myself simple meals, showering, washing hair, brushing teeth, crocheting, sitting up for hours at a time. All that lasted about 2-2.5 weeks, then started getting slightly worse, less sitting up and extra non food attaining related activities. Oh also! Big deal: couldn’t get more than 2-3 hours of sleep a night without drugs for a month and a half before the infusion, then after, 7-10 hours every night on my own for about 2 weeks. The third week was still decent there were three nights where I only got like 3-5 hours and it wasn’t good. I just got my second glutathione infusion today! Can’t wait to feel better tm!!! GOOD LUCK with the integrative stuff!!!

You mentioned they take your temp cause of covid, just curious, do you get low grade fevers with pvfs? I have stupid temperature regulation problems like my temp fluctuates from 97.3-101.0 😫

I can’t believe a doctor would say that. I thought that was extremely rude of her! I’ve dealt with a lot of doctors recently and got the same diagnosis as you about a month ago. But didn’t encounter that like you did. I’m sorry they think that’s okay. Personally I would find another doctor but I already know how hard it is to find one that helps at all in the first place! I was pretty shocked when I heard her say that it really just seems very unprofessional. :( I wish I could yell at her for you! My jaw dropped cause I had a hard time believing what I was hearing

OMFG! I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW THEY TREATED YOU!!! I get that crap from doctors ALL THE TIME, but I really thought Mayo Clinic would be WAYYYY more professional and understanding. Holy crap wow.
