The jokes never used to be political, they used to just poke fun at each other. The house they own, car they drive, beer they drink, their spouses, their pets, their appetites, etc. These aren't jokes, these are digs.

Swearing on the podium and laughing at the lawsuit … Does she even care to know that St. Patrick was a man close to God ? He was a priest and this is how she honors him ?

It's not even funny. The mayor needs to resign and go to Second City. Learn to lay your speech and syncopate your delivery to a political and apolitical audience. God for Section 8.
