Corruption in Jennings, I can't believe it 😂

As a brit I am totally laughing at how having a car on private property can be such a huge issue? So what if the 'tags' are out of date? The car is not on the road so whats the big deal? Here we don't have 'tags' we have registration numbers that stay with the car its whole life. We pay road tax online for when we use a car on the road. Otherwise we issue a 'SORN' (Statutory Off Road Notification) for the car online and the tax people know where it is. The US system looks like archaic but the hypocrisy of the mayor though is a whole new ball game...

I think this city needs to get the expired plates used as "legit" plates for illegal drivers off the streets first. Getting the many stolen vehicles back to their owners would be nice.

You can sue him and the city under the equal protection clause in federal court 400 $ dollar filing fee but it's worth it . US Supreme Court village of Willowbrook Illinois. A class of one .the mayor or city can't treat you differently.

Plus Missouri law clearly requires a front and rear license plate. But missouri law enforcement apparently doesnt enforce license plate laws anyway. How many cars are.driving (not talking about park on private property and inoperable) on the road with expired plates and tags . Missouri law (301.130.5, RSMo) most Missouri motor vehicle registrations require two license plates to be displayed on the vehicle (front and rear). The exceptions include motorcycles, vehicles with historic Year of Manufacture registrations, and commercial vehicles registered for 18,000 lbs or greater.

well my dad was a used car dealer, any family member, employee at the car dealer can drive a car on dealer plates, as long as the car is up for sale at all times. The reason for this is because to become a car dealer and get those plates, One must have a secured bond of i think $25,000 and a building with signs and a working phone, and a lot and assets totaling $100,000, and approved by the state. before you can even get your dealer license and insurance. as far as the mayor saying the car in his drive way is safe because its starts, ask him if it has a valid safety inspection proving it?

The ridiculous rules of cars on your property. I and my wife lived in up state NY where there is no mass transit. We are 1st responders and the wife is a surgical nurse. We have 4 cars 2 of them are back up in case one doesn't start. The 2 extra cars are in the garage out of site. Someone on the block complained about it. So me and the wife had to appear in front of the town board to discuss the Horror. The town law is you can only have 1 car per driver on your property. 😅😅 Of course town people were there to watch the show. I told the board we have a responsibility to show up to work even in a blizzard conditions. The 2 extra cars guarantees are arrival to save lives. The board sided with us and my neighbor who started this revealed himself to me. A month later I caught his teenager drunk and pissing in the street on main street. I had him arrested 😅😅😅
