Political veteran Richard Bergeron hopes to be the new mayor of Montreal and he gives his vision for the future of the city; one that includes a new tramway system. (John Kenney/THE GAZETTE)
I had a vision last night that I was lying on a beach drinking cocktails, but unfortunately a vision is rather useless if it's not grounded in reality. A little bit of pragmatism and coherence would do Projet Montreal some good - on one side of town, Peter McQueen is arguing for a pedestrian and cycle bridge across Decarie, claiming it would be busy and a good investment, on the other side of town, Luc Ferrandez is aruging against a similar crossing for the CP tracks, claiming the opposite.
