This is a great instructional video! Just got my new Maytag machine yesterday and was SO frustrated trying to do a first wash. Yes, I DID read the quick start manual that came with it but I did not know what or how all the 'efficiency' features were, and thought something was wrong right off the bat when there was hardly any water!! I knew there was no agitator like in my old 17 yr Maytag but I didn't expect it to be SO different in SO many ways! Thank you for explaining everything in detail. I have saved your video to watch again if needed!
i bought this machine and had it delivered last night. i dont think folks understand the TYPE of washer they bought and most definitely a bunch did not read the guide that came with the machine. folks are complaining about the length of the cycles - this is an HE machine high efficiency machines have longer cycles because they use less water to clean your clothes. its a process. the machine can be loud - close the door to the wash room LOL also, remember you can only use HE detergent with this machine. if you use regular detergent, that will prolong the cycle. the machine does vibrate, like many others. i did research on a bunch of different machines and bought the rubber feet. the installer leveled the machine and placed the feet so when it vibrates, i don't hear anything. you cannot use an HE machine with normal machine expectations. google the model number and know what you are buying.
Great information you typed up here. it’s all about your perspective and what your level of understanding are. They’re not made to last, longer cycles energy efficiency like you said .. that’s why the cycles we choose are so important to wash according to that’s recommended feel free to let me know how you like it mom looking to get video feedback from customers using these products
I have a 2018 SPEED QUEEN TR5 SERIES WASHER. On the inside of the lid it says to use HE DETERGENTS. It's not officially an HE WASHER . I noticed too that if you use non-HE DETERGENTS the machine will go into a series of pre-rinses before the initial rinse cycle. It will detect a possibility of suds-lock, pause and fill with water, drain and attempt to go into the spin again. Then if suds-lock is still a possibility it again will pause, fill with water, again drain and then it will continue into the spin and then the official rinse cycle and then continue and complete to the final spin with no issues and cycle completion.
How about a custom weighted balanced plastic ring that would fit tightly inside the drum to overcome the weight sensors and give you a full tub of water?
Ive had mine for almost 1 year and still havent figured it out. I washed white sheets, poured the soap on it and it stained my brannew whitensheets. Also, it didnt clean my husband's nwork clothes whichnis white. Ive washed my being tennis shoes and didnt get them clean. I have no idea what else to do rather than see if i can return it
I bought a Deep fill Maytag top loader last week. This is the worst damn appliance I have ever had. The washer controls you , not the other way around. You cannot get the washer to fill all the way no matter how large a load of clothes you have. I have not read through the comments here but on another video this is a common problem and most people hate this washer so if you like to fill your washer with water and see your clothes submerged, do not ever buy this thing. I had a cheap Amana washer that lasted 40 years with no pronlems till last year. I thought about getting it fixed but I decided after 40 years to buy a new one. It used to be so nice to have total control over how high you wanted the water, to be able to dial to anywhere in the cycle at any time and to stop and start it yourself. This shows you how things can be considered progress when actually they are so much worse than what you had before. So all I can say is avoid this nightmare machine and try to find one you can at least fill the water to whereever you want, Hopefully there might be still one or 2 made that way somewhere.
Thanks for your support … I do agree this washer is not one we’ll recommend as far as top loaders.. LG AND SAMSUNG makes the best top washers ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-egBpsuxeXgQ.htmlsi=NnfV_QXH7E0_ZZ1M
I bought this one a year ago. I really really hate it. I would never have realized how reliable and properly functioning my whirlpool washer was if l hadn’t bought it. Just two months after buying it I had already decided I would only use it for one year or two, and then go back to Whirlpool. That being said, for the Maytag, you can choose the water level, as long as you avoid “auto”, can’t you?
@@emilywang7686 I got the place I bought it to let me exchange the Maytag for a Speed Queen Tr3 which is much more expensive but you can fill the water up to the top. I did not ever get the Maytag to fill up to the top . There is a Maytag commercial washer that is supposed to fill up all the way, but it also costs more . I only had the Maytag for 5 days before I got rid of it. I am very happy with the Speed Queen though it has a smaller capacity.
Hello, thanks for your informative video. Is it possible to link the guides that you are presenting. I have the exact model you are showing but I can't find the guides . Much thanks :)
Thanks for your support the manufacturer wants you to add detergent before you add water and put your clothes in at the bottom of the tub cup area on the side is for the bleach dispenser
Video was very helpful. However I cannot find the manual you are reading from. The owner's manual online does not give these operating instructions. Only gives care and installations instructions

Do not buy this machine! I purchased mine Dec 2022 and it's now Jan 2024 and this Maytag is totally unusable. Whirlpool/Maytag will not stand behind their product. Estimate to repair is $500.00. Unbelievable!
Thanks for your support… it’s not a well made product the transmission isn’t well built … not one of our favorite machines on the market .. we do recommend the lg or Samsung top loader that’s better we just release it a few days ago
Great I just bought one and the extended warranty. If need be, I'll trade it for another piece of junk. Nothing is made to last long. It's all about the $$$$$$$$and how much you can screw the final cosumer.
@@consumerappliancereport1579thanks for the video. I can't get the water faucet to work either. Holding start doesn't work. Do you have any ideas. Thanks dude.
