Mazak Lathe Barriers T2 T3 Control. Here is a short video about what I know about setting the chuck and tailstock barriers on the T-2 and T-3 controls.
I run a 2006 integrex with a 50in chuck. Came from a gcode horizontal and mazak verticals...so far your the best teacher on youtube....btw the fusion 640m pro control doesn't show the tool like yours does? Its just a arrow😢
Hi phill Nice video,s your making I learned a lot about it. I have a question about a mazak lathe i am looking to buy. While testing i could run the machine on hand over its X+ limit and stall the drive. Is this something that i can limit by setting a barrier?
Also check setting on soft-limit barrier. If a X-axis brake slips while powered off, it will go into soft-limit before it reaches the zeropoint-return position. Then you must increase the value on that parameter and make the zero-point return. After that you must set parameter back to original value. If you forget that it will hit hard-limit on rapid-feed/hand-operating even if you make a zeropoint-return first.
The chuck Z/X-barriers (without jaws) are always in the same place. Use the same numbers in all programs. The data of jaw-settings are added to the Z and then sets the barriers. X-data are from centre-line.
Hi Phill, Thanks for the useful materials. Maybe you could do something about TPC, or write conventional processes, for example for grasper or bumper. I would be grateful. Best wish, Sebastian
Unfortunately, my old controller does not have TPC ability. Mazak added that on the T32 control. I am going to do some videos on programming with the manual processes used for bar pulling and other operations. Thanks.
So you don’t know how to set the Barrier for the chuck or tail stock . Not a good thing . When I went to Mazak school that’s the first thing they tough us so we didn’t crash the machine into the chuck or tail stock.
