We try to consume liver once a week, each week. The liver is full of nutrients, but it's very easy to overcook it. If overcooked, the liver turns rubbery.
In the video, you will see my favorite method of cooking the liver and onions.
Remove the outer layer of the liver before starting to cook. Cut the liver smaller, so it cooks faster. Use fresh liver, not previously frozen. Previously frozen liver is good for other recipes, but not for frying.
You will need:
1 lb of Liver (lamb or beef)
1 medium Onion
1/2 bunch of Parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 Tbsp of Lemon juice (if you want to get rid of the livery taste, added together with salt and pepper) - I did not use
Fry in high heat for 4 minutes, add spices, cook in low heat for 6 more minutes.
Enjoy your tender liver and onions!
