Today I test drove the CX3 Sport Nav 120 bhp. Wow. What a car. It's has everything on it. Bar high beam assist. Smooth ride. Short throw gearbox. Very quiet and the Bose sound system is a dream.

Impressive in all respects ..but I take your point about handling - but remember - it's a compact crossover!

Stunning car, test drove one yesterday. I'm very tempted to get one! Is this colour Pearlescent Crystal White? I drove the 1.5 diesel manual yesterday and whilst it was a little grumbly upon moving off at low speeds, when up to speed it was fantastic! It drove (and cornered) on long open A-roads remarkably well. Much better than my wallowy 1.2DIG-t Juke.

+Dominic Joseph This one's called Ceramic, Dominic - it upsets the exposure system on the camera a little, but it would probably be my choice.

+TestDriven looks amazing. Not blinding white, but not grey, depending when/how the light hits it. Lovely. I was leaning toward the Dynamic Mica Blue. Very sporty colour to suit look of car. But this ceramic may have just changed my mind.

+Dominic Joseph Not that it's for me to say of course, but out of those two, I'd definitely go with Ceramic; it's a much more 'modern' choice. As you say, it changes in the light, but what it also does is show off some of the body styling elements such as the swage line across the doors, the lines in the bonnet, etc., whereas other colours can lose them a little. Let us know if you decide to go ahead and get one!

+TestDriven So just posting update as agreed. Have bought one! lol Exactly colour and trim as in video. Saw ceramic SportNav at an alternative dealership and is amazing! Went for 1.5 diesel manual. Arrives first week in March. Awesome little car and great to drive. And whilst has marginally same road 'footprint' as my Juke. It oddly feels more spacious inside 👍🏽

With regards to road noise, which model suffer the worst effect? Mazda 3, 6 or cx3?
@TestDrivenUK
@TestDrivenUK 8 лет назад
+takaishi Wow, that's a tough one! I would say the Mazda3 has more road noise than the other two - it used to be the Mazda6, not helped by the fact it rides on generally larger wheels, but Mazda spent a lot effort trying to address that in 2015, quite successfully. The 3 hasn't - as far as I'm aware - received those changes. The CX-3 I would say has more engine noise than the others, though. Does that help at all?

+TestDriven yea it does! Thanks a million! Im considering the mz3 and thus hoping it won't be as bad as it seems to be in vids. Your reviews are really great! Detailed and I like the way it's done up.
@TestDrivenUK
@TestDrivenUK 8 лет назад
+takaishi I'm really glad they're useful! By the way, I don't think I've ever driven a Mazda3 and thought road noise was a problem as such, so personally I wouldn't worry about it too much - video can tend to accentuate it a little. If there's anything else we can help with, feel free to ask!

I recently discovered the Mazda line and I'm interested in the Mazda 3 and the CX-3. Which one has the most room inside?
@TestDrivenUK
@TestDrivenUK 8 лет назад
+BASHA I'd say the Mazda 3.

+TestDriven Have you tested the 2.0 petrol 165 ps Mazda 3? What do you think of it in terms of handling, power and MPG?
@TestDrivenUK

+BASHA We have, yes, although it was a little while ago. Give this a watch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JZ__eVQsl84.html and feel free to ask if you have any questions!

Hi. I packed my cx3 near in my garage near the wall. I went to open the car with remote and it's not opening. What can I do to open it, please?
@TestDrivenUK
@TestDrivenUK 4 года назад
Your remote may have a physical key hidden inside it, usually released by a small tab. Try unlocking the driver's door with the key. If the alarm sounds, turn on the ignition - you may need to hold the key near wherever the RF sensor is, often by the start button or in one of the storage trays in the centre console. Also look at changing the batteries in your remote.

the problem is that I packed the car near the wall so I can open it from driver-side. I have changed the key battery and its still not opening. I don't know if there is a way to open it.

TestDriven I notice how every youtube channel is praising the new Mazda lineup, and I agree with everything you say, I just think it's rather suspicious that Mazda is able to deliver this kind of equipment for such a low price, I mean, if you do the maths, I have no doubt that Mazda makes the best value cars in pretty much every segment now. I haven't been able to test the new Mazdas, but do you reckon these low prices mean that reliability and material quality underneath have secretly been downgraded? I am personally interested in getting a Mazda 6 but I seriously have my doubts if I should trust it at that price.

PvanP I'm not sure what part of the world you're in, but here in the UK, I don't think you could say the Mazda range is priced particularly low. In the case of the CX-3, for instance, it starts at £17,595, whereas a Nissan Juke can be yours for less than £14,000. And for almost the same price as our 120PS Sport Nav CX-3 test car, you can get a Juke Nismo RS - although personally, I'd still rather have the Mazda. As far as quality goes, the Mazda engineers we've met obsess about quality and reliability, and certainly everything I've seen leads me to believe they are far more 'engineering lead' than many other brands. If I had to summarise it, I'd say Mazda is a brand that's spent years being shackled by various business arrangements, and now finds itself free to explore its own direction. Let us know what you think of the Mazda6 when you've tried one - the 2.2 diesel is particularly awesome. :)

TestDriven I'm from Belgium and indeed, the CX-3 seems to be priced less competetively, but here in Belgium the mazda CX-5, mazda6, and even more so the mazda3 are priced extremely low considering their standard equipment and interior quality, aswell as performance. I will take the 2.2 mazda6 for a spin then, thanks for the info ;) good to know the engineers gave you a good impression

NO arm rest???
@TestDrivenUK
@TestDrivenUK 9 лет назад
mario dilorenzo The dealer-fit accessories for the CX-3 don't appear to have been released yet, but there is a retro-fit arm rest available for the Mazda2 so there could well be one for the CX-3, too.

N.C. Mazda will probably love you for saying that! I guess it's having the touchscreen on top of the dash that does it?
