I know. A lot of comments have made me realize how high up on a podium some people put BMW, Audi, and Mercedes. Almost like they hear the name and immediately think world class luxury when that’s really not the case when talking about their lower models.
These new Mazdas are not cheaply made. They are extremely reliable and very well made but they cost a lot less than other cars in this category like a Honda Civic because they do not have the name brand recognition. Mazda is simply not as popular as Toyota or Honda so they have to make better cars for a cheaper price to sell them. But the build quality and reliability of these is similar to a Civic or a Corolla.
literally what I thought as I have been test driving these cars lately. Just signed on to buy a 2022 GT AWD Turbo. Basically a Japanese A3. My kinda thing.
Dylan bought this exact model for 27k starting price for the Mazda 3 is $22k which has the same exact interior and infotainment, 25k is about in between the starting price and the price paid for the car in the video.
What a great video. You have the potential to be a true car reviewer man , you have the enthusiasm and the know how. I hope to see more videos in future 👍🏼
I love my 2021 Mazda 3 hatch. It’s my first car and man, what a first car lol. I can’t imagine downgrading to anything else I wish to go up from here lol! I dream of a rx7 for sport, or a rs6 avant- for a little bit of both luxury/ sport.
I don’t doubt this reviewers content as he’s obviously done his research and dedicated time to make this video, but for me, I haven’t seen a base trim even, listed under the low 30’s (32-34K)
One of my dream cars, but I have yet to see one listed under at least 32k for the entry level trims.. I honestly think Mazda was pushing a “low price time period” just to attract more buyers, but failed to sell at such prices. I was looking at this, 330i, Jag XE, A4, Buick Verano, and C-Class, all of which are too pricey for me to make a trade with as I just bought a new car a year and a half ago. It’s a 2020 BMW X3 with a lot of miles I already put on it so I’m gonna have a time trading for a 3 if I get in touch with Mazda..
I have owned bmw since I started driving as a teen. The last two cars I’ve owned have been Mazdas. These are good cars, cost drastically less than a luxury brand, and the new gen Mazdas actually remind me of bmw interior and handling. These cars are incredibly reliable, over 200k on both my Mazdas. Car searching now for a new gen 3! I do wish they had continued the Mazda 6 though. Truly a great vehicle.
Growing up my dad got a brand new 2015 Mazda 6 GT and he drove it on the highway every day to work. A couple years ago he handed it over to me with near 200,000 on it. I drive all types of work trucks as an electrician, so I get to feel the way different cars drive. This Mazda 6 even at 240,000 miles drives soooooo nice. We haven’t have to do anything major to it other than new suspension. If I have to buy another car it will definitely be a Mazda 6 or a 3.
I got the 2023 turbo 2.5 hatchback all-wheel-drive it's f****** amazing put some exhaust on it, get a new turbo intake, reprogram program the ECU, and you'll be over 300 hp with about 400 tq , you don't need to change the cold air intake it actually hurts performance
I have a 2015 Mazda 3 hatchback and it’s a nice road trip car. Only issues I’ve experienced with it is rattling by my right passenger door speaker and ghost touching on the display.
Two very easy fixes. You can find how to repair those on RU-vid. My speaker was rattling and its fixed. Ghost touch just needs a new screen digitizer which is on ebay cheap. I also own a 2015 and it is an excellent car.
I also had the same problem on my 2015 Mazda 3. I fixed it and now it works great. You do not need a new screen digitizer or anything expensive. RU-vid will show you how easy it is to fix. You have to disconnect the red ribbon on the back of the infotainment system which controls the touch screen and will stop it from ghosting. It only takes about 15 minutes. Good luck.
I have a mazda 3 Sedan. It's a great daily driver. I also have a 4th gen miata. Maybe one day mazda will make an inline 6 motor and not put it in a bubble that a total of 23 people around the world get excited about.
This Mazda is nice but I honestly feel like old Mazda is more funnier because instead of focusing in luxary, reliability, comfort, etc, they instead had cheap fast cars and experimental ones like the rx8 with its rotary engine. But I'm not saying that new Mazda is bad.
My mom has a 2017 BMW x1 base model and I have a Mazda 3 Sport GT full equipped. Let me tell you that my car has much more luxury features than her Car and I paid 20k less. First thing very obvious is I have real leather, and she doesn’t.
The carbon edition is a high trim and all the hatchback models are priced higher as well. $25,000 is an average price with a starting price of $22,550 on the base model sedan.
It's similar to a Volkswagen golf and a Hyundai i30 from a fit and finish point of view. The only difference is the design - more cramped and intimate, so just feels safer and more luxurious.
My J-VIN new 2020 Toyota needed towing twice for repairs, before I even made it to 10K miles. Ditched it for a 2022 Mazda CX-30 CE & have been 100% problem/issue free for 18 months now. It's all potluck for everything these days.
Fam… those rear lights are NOT, let me repeat, NOT, “mean and aggressive”. Stop😂. I can get w/ you comparing the interior and even the handling w/ audi and bmw because I know Mazda is very capable of sporty engineering, but exterior design is not a point of comparison when discussing audi and bmw… in my humble opinion😊
Oohhhh no, when you’re talking exterior styling I agree with Audi beating Mazda. When bringing bmw into the mix then it’s a case by case basis because both Mazda and bmw have produced some HORRIFIC looking cars. But the interior by far is above its class. And for it’s price, it’s surprising how close it compares to those other brands.
It's actually way better in my opinion. I have a 2023 mazda3 hatchback premium turbo. It's not a touch screen, there's a knob next to the shifter that controls it. This allowed Mazda to put the screen much further back so it's in your line of sight while driving and you don't have to fiddle around with a touch screen. It's wayyyy better now that I'm used to it and would prefer more companies to make them like this. The one on my car does seem bigger than this though.
Mazda have very poor corrosion protection. At present in my opinion they are the worst main stream manufacturer in this respect. BMW and Audi rarely rust under ten years old, not Mazda. The Miata (MX5) has a reputation for dissolving on sight.
Tbh luxury cars start from atleast an E class, 4 series or ES from lexus. The rest just have the branding without the luxury part. And all of these cars costs atleast over 50k.
